What to Expect
This jam-packed day starts when you meet your guide and group at the tour office. Kyoto is famous for being ancient Japan’s former capital and is home to many important historic sites. You’ll see UNESCO World Heritage Site Nijo Castle and then move on to Kinkaku-ji—a Zen temple with impressive Japanese gardens and buildings covered in gold leaf. Next up you’ll see Kyoto’s Imperial Palace before having a break for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll travel to Nara and visit another UNESCO World Heritage Site: Todai-ji temple which has one of the world’s biggest Buddha statues. You’ll finish the day with a stop off at Kasuga Shrine with its 3,000 lanterns and then visit Nara Deer Park, which is home to semi-tame deer who are used to being fed by hand. The day will end with a return trip back to Kyoto.

Solid tour if you're looking to efficiently cover a lot of sites in 1 day. The Todaiji temple was amazing and seeing that giant Buddha at the temple was phenomenal and pictures do not do justice. Awesome tour, a little bit of a hectic pace but worth it. Only thing I wish this
