It was a very enjoyable and knowledgeable tour with Jaron, he was very patient with us providing us enough time to enjoy the views and taking pictures up during our stop. He drove around introducing us the places left and right, not to say, he translated in both different languages without sounding in a rush. I had one of my most enjoyable time with this tour.

We had an absolutely excellent visit with David. He was a wealth of knowledge not only about tea but about Taiwan itself. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending more than a few days in Taipei.

I have been on a 'tea tour'.The Chinese discovered tea. It was their gift to the world. Taiwan grows excellent tea. It is useful to compare the Chinese attitude to tea to the western view of wine -- you need to grow to appreciate its finer points. The tour will help you develop your knowledge of 'China's gift to the world.'

Even if I was the only person on the trip, My Taiwan Tour was willing to accommodate my preference for the tea tour.

Andy was an engaging tour guide, and was quite knowledgeable. He and the driver were pretty kind and I had a nice time overall.

The day was wet, gray and less than inviting but Andy Chen made the day with his enthusiasm, interpretation and discussions on tea, Taipei and other. The gondola ride to Mao Kong was nice and not busy due to the weather but it afforded us a good view of the hill side and was just fun - glass bottom. We spent time at the processing museum (ok overall) but very much enjoyed our time learning, tasting and talking with Mei Chia Tea Garden representative. Oolong, Pauchong and Oriental Beauty were some of the teas we tried. We also had a tea tasting in Shi Ding village overlooking the flooding river and just enjoyed the moment, learned some of the finer rituals of tea tasting with Chow Mei. I must say the Taiwanese olive was a surprise as it is nothing like I expected. By any standards the day should have been less than ideal given the weather but we enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely day drinking tea and learning about about Taiwan and its tea traditions. Every time we travel, we would usually prefer exploring on our own. But this time I opted to book a tour (Tea of Taipei; Small-group tour). We did two tours while we were in Taiwan last July 3 to 7, 2019; booked through different Tour services and I have to say that MyTaiwanTour is better. The itinerary was so organized, and enough time was given to enjoy at each destination. Three more tourists joined in the tour, so it was comfortable for me having it on a small group. The scenery while riding the Maokong Gondola leaves me amazed. It was only me who is a fan of tea and not my friend, but she did enjoy the experience. The tea tasting was unforgettable, knowing how it is processed, and seeing the proper way of preparing tea was fascinating. At lunch, we were brought to a simple restaurant yet serves gastronomic food experience and to tell you; never skip the recommended dishes. A great view, fresh air will be encountered at the Thousand Island Lake with notable private tea plantation along the way.

The best part of this tour is the people who guided us along this trip. Kai is an astounding tour guide- he is very hospitable and well knowledgable of what he is doing. We were with other tourists; but with Kai's character, the trip was engaging like we were traveling with good friends whom we just actually met that day. He is highly commendable. Francesca was helpful as well on this trip and had given us plenty of ideas to enjoy Taiwan. Our driver Mr. Yang is a great navigator who drove us safely throughout the long drives. It is not only the tour that made our trip remarkable. These guys did a big part of creating a memorable experience on our Taiwan trip. Thank you :)

This was by far my favorite tour in Taiwan. It wasn't as exhaustive as my tour of Taipei City. This tour was a bit more laid back as we enjoyed learning about tea plantations, tea processing, the different kinds of tea, and tea ceremonies. The gondola ride was amazing! We were able to see Taipei from a really high perspective. And we got to see wonderful sceneries in the mountains! I couldn't believe I was there! Our tour guide, Kelly, was fun to talk with and very knowledgeable about tea as her family works in the tea business. Our group of 4 people got to taste different kinds of tea and we also got to participate in a tea ceremony which was really nice. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes nature and tea.

Went with the number 1 recommendation on TripAdvisor and certainly was not let down. Our guide Epson was awesome having both superb local knowledge and English language making for a wonderful day trip. On top of the itinerary due to Epsons incredible passion for Taiwan, we learnt heaps of stuff and visited extra places including markets and a local school. Loved it!

I had a great time on this tour! You learn about preparing tea and the proper way to serve tea with some beautiful scenery along the way. Our guide Amanda was straightforward and gave great background. I’d highly recommend, but be prepared to drink tea all day!
