We’re a family of four with two teenage boys. Thank you Grace for arranging a fun personalized day trip exploring Taipei with our local guide Jeffrey Pang. Jeffrey picked us up from our hotel, and took us to the National Palace Museum, the Longshan Temple and adjacent street markets (including lunch at a 100 year old restaurant called Liang Xi Hao). We also went to the Dihua historical district to see the beautifully preserved colonial buildings turned into tea houses, coffee shops, textiles and dried food stores. Jeffrey was a passionate, energetic guide, brimming with pride for his city. He narrated our car trip with all sorts of fascinating historical tidbits during our journey. My wife and I used Round Taiwan Round for our long-planned (and three times postponed, due to Covid) trip to Taiwan, which was partly self-organized and partly put together by this outfit. The support in English by email was superb and highly responsive, well above average. We had all our train tickets organized by them, as well as domestic flights to/from Green Island, and it all went without a glitch. In addition they organized a driver-guide for our three days on Kinmen and again it all worked out perfectly. Finally we had an engaging and enthusiastic English-speaking driver-guide for our final four days in Taiwan, travelling up the east coast from Taitung via Hualien and Taroko Gorge back to Taipei, plus two day excursions from Taipei before being dropped off at the airport at the end. Again, it all went perfectly and was reasonably priced. The tours were not "off the peg" but mostly tailored to our very specific wishes (with a focus on dark tourism), and they were excellently catered for. They also suggested extra add-ons en route, so we saw more than we had originally planned for. So that further enriched our trip. No complaints at all. I'm widely travelled and have been to 100 countries; and this Taiwan trip I would rank in the top 10 of all my travels, in part thanks to the good services of RTR. Highly recommended operator!

The driver/guide, Kenny, was professional, attentive and knowledgeable, He went above an beyond to accommodate our schedules. Our family of six thoroughly enjoy the customized itinerary from Taipei to Hualien, Taroko Gorge and Yilan, back to Taipei This is my second experience with RTR.

We had RTR arrange a river tracing experience for us near Hualien. The idea is that you put on a wet suit, then trace a (small) river upwards through a beautiful gorge by wading, hopping on rocks, and occasionally swimming. Most people go in larger groups but RTR set up a private tour for us, which worked out great since we went with our 6 year old who wouldn't have been able to keep up with a group of adults. The guide RTR booked was great, and even though we had only booked for 4 hours we ended up staying out for 6-7 hours (by mutual agreement). Both us and our kid enjoyed the outing immensely and felt safe and taken care of even though there wasn't a ton of rules and our guide didn't hover over us. Highly recommended if you like hiking, are in reasonable shape, and want to try something a little different.

Just want to thank you once more for a really great arrangement and adventure on the Yushan trip! Summited Yushan 9.7. successfully at sunrise and clear weather. Our guide Chase Yu was really great, in particular the places he brought us, such as the "Mal-u" restaurant the first evening, with excellent and creative food based upon local traditional ingrediences. Also, much appreciated the flexibility after the summit, with a brief and refreshing visit at the Dongpu springs. This trip was much more than another mountain summit, it gave us also valuable insight into the history of Taiwan history and the culture.

During this trip to Taiwan,my parents in their eighties, 2 grown up girls, and I experienced the difference between having a local guide/ driver and going free and easy( in our past trips). The local guide, Ming Ge(铭哥) was sensitive to our needs and the trip itinerary was well catered to our interests, meeting the needs of the wide age range of our tour group. This included amazing sights and sceneries to explore, local food adventures( where we were brought to hidden gems only known to locals). He is very professional and knowledgeable. We had access to interesting stories and facts of the places that we visited. He has a very new, clean, big and comfortable Mercedes van that can accommodate 7-8 pax with big luggages. Definitely worth paying the price and no hidden charges. The moment he picks up from hotel right up to end of the tour I would say Mr Su is very punctual, kind hearted and very knowledgeable of the tourist spots that he took us. He also knows where is the most Instagramable spot around Jiufen, Shifen, Pingxi & Yehliu!! Really glad that we book this tour instead of the big busses tour as there is no rushing thru the tourist attraction, to add on Mr Su is really very nice he gave out complimentary disposable rain coats to us and he worry if he catch cold under the rain. I have to mention this too, I’ve travelled around the world using local agents drivers but Mr Su from Taiwan is the only one driver that I’ve seen will come down from his car seat bring a little stool so that you can get out from his van gracefully without needing to struggle, this is extremely good if you have elderly parents traveling with you. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is traveling with elderly and children as you are definitely being taken care off.

Mr. Zhu You Ming is by far the best private driver I have had in Taiwan. His service is the best I have experienced among all my day trips out of Taipei. (I had engaged various different companies for my various day trips with family). He not only took the initiative to take many pictures for my family using his own handphone, but also went out of his way to recommend cheap places to eat during the course of our journey (so that we wouldn't spend excessively on food at Jiufen Old Street hehe). In his opinion, the food at Jiufen Old Street is comparatively more expensive, which I found very true (snacks there cost about twd 50-70 for say, a bowl or stick of meat as compared to twd 60 for a full meal where he took us to for lunch). A truly honest man, he even rejected my tip (even though it was only Twd 100). In the end, he accepted it upon my insistence. As a tourist, I obviously don't get any commission from this but I would just like to share this recommendation for those looking for private drivers. Lesson learnt - book with him directly for a lower fee (companies/agents will quote a higher fee as they take a cut from the drivers).

Wade Liu Is a excellence driver guide. He really look after our group very well. He never late for his duty. He is very friendly and cheerful. He has good product knowledge and very familiar with the routing and look into little small things. My friends like him so much and invited him to stay with him for last 3 nights during the tour. We have meals together every day. He always recommend the local good food for us. We thank you for provide us such a wonderful driver guide. I will definite want him to be my guide for next trip to Green Island again. This is the 2nd time I used Round Taiwan round service. I always very satisfied with your company service. Your operation staff Judy is a bit slow on reply my request. But eventually I got want I want. Your Operation staff should improve for suggesting more interesting itinerary for us. We do have some idea itinerary as a ground operator, I think your company have better idea of the routing and place of interest to visit, For example the Suspension bridge in Daxi. this is not suitable for old people if they have legs issue. ( Lucky we are all very strong). It was nearly 800 step down and 800 step up. A good driver or guide can make a difference of your service. Which we are very lucky to get the good driver guide. Had a wonderful time in Taipei. I booked the last minute and they accommodated my request. The communication was on point and the driver and tour guide Mr. Wang was very fun to hang out with. He showed me all the beautiful spots, he’s so knowledgeable and a safe driver. Plus he’s a foodie, so he knows all the good local eats. Thank you for keeping me safe as a solo traveler.

This tour is one of a kind which lets you pick your own sightseeing spots and timing. Guide is knowledgeable, sticks to timing, didn't bring us to any touristy shopping spots. Car is clean and comfortable.

We had a great time in taiwan, our travel consultant Judy Tang made our itinerary perfect, we sent to her the places we want to visit,and she made it, she also gave us the best tour guide,diver and photographer as well jeffrey Peng, we learned a lot from him, like to go on cheaper things especially to look for cheaper and delicious foods, not to buy so many when its not necessary and a lot more. So if you plan to visit Taiwan, look for Judy Tang ad your travel consultant, and Jeffrey Peng as your guide,diver and photographer.They are both perfect.

I booked it at the last minute but it was all so worth it. Jimmy our driver is so informative and helpful in our day tour. He got drinks and snacks ready for us in case we are hungry. He showed us all the nice spots to take pics. It was truly a worthwhile and memorable day trip. I would return to it again, and highly recommend anyone to take it on with full confidence.
