Our family had the best time on the private Taipei tour! Nicolas was our tour guide and I can’t express how wonderful he made our experience! Nicolas took us to many of the top sites in the area. If we were staying longer we would book another tour with him to see other places in Taiwan. Highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely excellent. The guide was very thoughtful and let me kind of arrange the day and skip some of the listed for places I rather liked to see instead. For example, I'm a big fan of Guan Yu and let him know, so we skipped a temple on the list and he took me to Guan Yu's temple. He even showed me to the best items personally in the National Museum. Guide was very kind, thorough, easy to talk to, and very accommodating. With YOLO and their guide, the day is yours and they respect that. They do what you want to do and see and they know how to get you there.

Our guide Steven was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We went to 4 different locations, he accompanied us and gave us the history and details of each location. I would definitely recommend the this tour. Ask for Steven.

This tour was absolutely amazing, thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Vincent! We had the best day. His van is clean, nice AC, comes with water bottles, and umbrellas. He was very informative about Taiwan culture and history. Easy to talk to and showed us all of the spots. He even gifted our kids with ice cream at the end of the day. This tour is good for kids because you get breaks driving to different parts of the city. The views are breathtaking and we fell in love with Taiwan! The lanterns were a hit with my kids but the views at the tea house for lunch can’t be beat! We even had a charcoal coffee that had won awards. We were on cloud 9 all day long. We can’t recommend this enough!

An amazing experience! Our guide, Nicolas, was exceptional — he met us promptly at our hotel lobby and kicked off our half day tour. Nicolas has so much knowledge of taiwan and provided us with so many great suggestions on things to do and eat in on our stay. We started our trip with the sky lanterns, visiting the shifen waterfall, and ending if off at jiufen old street where we got to see streets light up at night! Throughout the whole experience Nicolas was fantastic, he helped us take photos, recommended great food spots to try, and even help carry some souvenirs we bought without feeling rushed at all. Highly recommend!

Vincent was an excellent guide. We had a great time visiting the different sites and learning more about Taiwan. I would recommend Vincent as a travel guide for any trip.

Our day started early at 8AM. Day prior, our driver/guide Junior Wy sent a message thru WhatsApp confirming our tour. He was at our hotel at 8AM sharp. He drove a sedan (BMW) -- a very proficient driver who drove fast but safely. Junior took us to Yehliu Geopark, Pingxi, Shifen, and Jiufen. Today was a sunny and humid day so I appreciated his effort to show us around despite the heat. He took us to routes that weren't packed with people and was able to show us a lot of places. We walked a lot and for me that's ok since I needed to burn calories anyway. On our way back home, he drove us to Keelung City and offered to take us to any other place we might want to see. We were back at our hotel by 3PM. Overall, this tour was very much worth our time and money. It was convenient, safe, comfortable, and so much better compared to if we joined a group tour. Junior was a good tour guide who spoke good English; was proactive; and with a great personality. 10/10 will book YOLO Taiwan again when I go back to Taipei!!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Taiwan for the first time and wanted to see more outside of Taipei City. From the time of our booking, we got great communication from YOLO Taiwan. Our guide Hink Wang is so amazing! He is so knowledgeable and has a great personality. He took pictures for us and was a great part of making our experience one of a kind. We visited the Kavalan Whisky Distillery, Zhang Mei Ama’s Farm and Mr. Brown Coffee Castle. Everywhere was fabulous! We especially enjoyed Kavalan where we did a tasting and Zhang Mei Ama's Farm where we checked off feeding capybaras off of our bucket list. I'm so glad we chose this custom tour since we got to choose what we wanted to do while also enjoying our ride and guide. Truly a five star experience and totally worth it!

The tour guide, Vincent Lee, picked me up at the exact time we set, we immediately embarked on the tour to Shifen waterfall. The guide explained a lot to me, afterwards we arrived at Shifen Old Street where I released the Lantern. Afterwards we went to Jiufen Old Street with a little detour at the coast, because I loved the view so much! It was a great day!

Steven was a fantastic guide who answered all our questions about Taiwan. Super flexible and nice. We did a six hour Private Tour to Jiufen and Shifen. I recommend the 2pm - 8pm time slot so you can enjoy the beautiful sunset from the Jiufen mountain village overlooking the ocean.

Nicolas was great! The communication before the trip and even after my tour finished was exceptional. Really helpful with tips. I was travelling alone and he made sure we saw all the things I wanted despite only one day. He showed me Taipei as a local and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Totally recommend him as a tour guide and I would love to come back.

We had an amazing half day tour with Hicks our guide. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us. It was extremely hot and he supplied us with water umbrellas and fans. I would highly recommend this tour as you can custom it to want you want to see.

An unforgettable experience. Paul was a fantastic guide, with a wealth of insight on everything from historical artifacts at the museum, to cultural anecdotes at the temples and national history sights, to walking me through the can't-miss highlights at the street market. While you could see all of these beautiful sites yourself, you can't replicate the local perspective. Paul was professional, friendly, patient, funny - and such a great driver! A fantastic experience all around, cannot recommend him enough!

Nicholas Ying was a fantastic guide who was great at modifying the experience to cope with our moderate fitness and sore knee issues. He gave us lots of interesting information about the areas we drove through and made the transitions from place to place through beautiful country. We enjoyed seeing the cats roaming in the cat village and had a wonderful lunch here of cold noodles and a huge bowl of flavoured ice. Perfect for a hot day. The other highlights for us were the lovely tearoom at Jiufen and the sky lanterns and train coming through at Shifen. Providing a water bottle for each of us was also a nice touch. I'd highly recommend this service.

We had an amazing full day private custom tour in Taipei. We saw so many sights!!! National palace museum, martyrs shrine, grand central hotel, the hot springs and sitting chatting with the locals, fort st Domingo, academy of Confucius building and Baoan Daoist temple. The tour guide Jimmy was just perfect, so professional, informative, kind, funny, thoughtful and interested to hear about us and our travels. He was so kind in speaking mandarin with my daughter who is learning Chinese at University. It was so lovely to see her chat in Mandarin. Jimmy was just so lovely, very encouraging and teaching her a lot. This really made our trip. He even showed us the local universities where my daughter may do a student exchange at. He was just a lovely person and really wanted us to have the best day. And we did. The perfect day in Taipei. Jimmy drove us all over the city, moving his car at numerous intervals so that we didn’t have to walk far in the 35 degree heat, what a gentleman. 100% recommend this tour and hope you get Jimmy as the guide. We will definitely book with YOLO Taiwan tours again.
