Everything about this company and its experience was amazing! First, the owner of "On the Road Costa Rica" (Anthony) called me last night to let us know about the conditions of the place we were scheduled to go. I appreciated his honesty and at the end of our conversation decided to move forward. Today, we found out that (due to weather conditions) we couldn't do that tour, but our tour guide Verny took his time to explain other options we could do. Once we decided where we were going, Verny didn't skip a beat. He did a great job keeping us entertained on our ride to the waterfalls and back. He shared so much knowledge about Costa Rica and all the different species that reside here. My husband, who normally isn't a nature guy even loved it. We couldn't say enough about this company and their tour guide Verny. We will definitely be back and make sure we book our tours and transportation with them. If you're looking for a transparency, good and honest company that will make you feel part of their family, look no further.

We had the best time with Anthony at on the road Costa Rica. We spent the day at Diamante Park and he was a fantastic tour guide making sure everything was taken care of. Tons of insightful information and great conversation. Would highly highly recommend on the road Costa Rica

Our driver was friendly and good at driving and getting us to the airport on time. We even stopped to get a last minute meal before the airport, we would definitely book this service again

Verny was the most outstanding and dedicated tour guide. He treated us like family and made our experience full of so many exciting memories. Verny is very hospitable, and very knowledgeable about his country and all of its fauna and flora. He made sure we got to see everything that mother nature in Costa Rica offered, even stopping by the road so we could see some toucans up close. I loved that Verny made sure we were all safe and could walk the trails at our own pace, even stopping to see some animals. He let us stop for a cup of coffee as our adventure started very early in the morning. We saw many toucans, eyelash vipers, sloths, and red eyed tree frogs on our journey. Lunch was delicious as well, and even despite the sudden downpour of rain, we were able to see lots of animals. Seeing all the wildlife was a dream come true for our family. We are so happy with our experience being apart of the family with On the Road Costa Rica for a day and we would definitely book with them again or tell our friends.

Verny was a phenomenal driver and guide! Our experience was enriched because of his rich knowledge that he shared, his passion about his country and job, and concern for our enjoyment. Verny went out of his way to make sure we saw sloths up close, toucan, snakes, and frogs! He showed us how to spot things in the forest. He was concerned for our safety and wellbeing. Highly recommend this your and especially this guide!!!

I can not say enough about this tour! Verny made sure that even on the drive to Rio Celeste we stopped to see animals. We even saved a sloth that was down on the ground, we had never been so close to a sloth. I traveled with my parents and was nervous about the hiking but he was extremely patient, had a walking stick for my mom and ensured we enjoyed every second. The waterfall does not disappoint, the crystal blue waters are worth all the steps! I appreciated Vernny’s clear love for his country and the environment. He ensured we found many animals for photos while also being respectful. His warm demeanor and willingness to educate really make the tour a one in a million experience!

Our driver Verny was waiting for us at the airport, everything was so smooth and easy! He’s a very knowledgeable guide who made sure we learned things even on our ride from the airport. He also avoided traffic which was very nice!

We prearranged shuttle service for our visit to Flamingo Beach and also to Playa Negra. Anthony was very flexible and had to wait two extra hours when we arrived in country on a delayed flight. Both he and his driver Verny are just fabulous,sweet and knowledgeable. Always prompt and made us feel safe as we had to traverse rivers of water on the way to our destinations. I can’t rave enough about our transfer to LIR Costa Rica. We were rained out for most of our trip unfortunately so we were so happy to have a personable, knowledgeable driver who educated us about this beautiful country. Punctual and great communication.

Are driverGabriele from the Airport to the hotel Tamarindo Dario Resort, was wonderful.It was raining and she still showed us a little bit about the town in liberia to tamarindo! Our driver, Verny, from the our hotel to the airport to return to U.S. was absolutely the best tour guide and driver ever!! Personable, Professional, above the top! We had such a positive experience with On the Road Costa Rica. Anthony was very responsive and when plans had to change due to the rain they made it work. Verny, our tour guide, provided a seamless trip and provided us with great conversation making the trip from Tamarindo to La Fortuna a breeze. You are in good hands with On the Road Costa Rica!

Our tour was amazing. Verny our guide was excellent. We have young children and he was very patient, kind and knowledgeable. He is the kind of guide that makes excursions like this memorable. He helped make sure the kids saw everything they wanted and got an amazing view of it all. One of kind memory would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this tour company enough. Anthony was extremely responsive to all of my questions and was extremely accommodating when our group sizes changed from 7 to 9 at the last minute. The prices are competitive and the experience was priceless. Initially, we booked round trip airport transportation and the Chocolate and Coffe Plantation Tour with them. However, after such a wonderful experience with our tour operator, Verny, we decided to cancel a tour booked with another company and do a second tour with OntheRoad Costa Rica. Verny was wonderful! He was extremely kind and accommodated two individuals in the group who had some mild mobility restrictions. He was very knowledgeable about the Costa Rican history and culture and eager to share the knowledge with us to enhance our tour experience. The service was above and beyond! Our safety was his primary concern while also providing us an amazing tour experience at the Llanos de Cortés Waterfall, the coffe and chocolate plantation, the safari boat tour, the rainforest hike where we saw so many beautiful animals. The traditional lunches provided were delicious. The entire experience allowed us to have an absolutely wonderful trip. I cannot recommend this tour company enough and Verny was a stellar tour operator. They are officially our tour operator for future trips to Costa Rica! Pura Vida!!

We had the pleasure of exploring the Rio Celeste area with Verny. He was not only extremely knowledgeable about the local plant and animal life, but extremely passionate about helping others learn and appreciate the rainforest. He was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. On top of Verny's excellent hospitality, the Rio Celeste waterfall and surrounding area make for a phenomenal hike if you want to see tropical birds, exotic insects, snakes, frogs, and if you're lucky like us, even sloths! Lunch was great as well! Unfortunately the butterfly exhibit was closed due to maintenance, but you'll see more than enough butterflies on your excursion in the wild if that's what you're really looking forward to. We can't wait to come back and do it all again!
