Am travelling with parents ( above 70 yrs) . Should I take flights? Scared about the track record of buddha air or Yeti air. Which one is safe? Should I take road- Concerned about the 8-9 hours journey? Please suggest . ThanksWritten May 23, 2024

- sjay30080 contributions** no animal national park**There were animals only on photo of the entry gates. Zero animals. It was just a bumpy jeep ride. The peak was the only good thing in this trip.Written January 18, 2024

- M2019BYchristineb0 contributionsBumpy and beautiful ride! This was a cool experience! I was seated on the side facing the valley and the trucks passing the other direction, which were beautifully ornamented. It had been raining all week, so the road was muddy and travel was slow (12 hours) but the bus was comfortable enough. Our bus did have a tire blow out (the highway is bumpy!) but staff replaced it quickly. There were a handful of foreigners on the bus, with mostly Nepalis traveling between the cities. The two bathroom and meal stops (around 9:30 and 12:00) were appreciated!Written October 9, 2023

- faith10290 contributionsDeliver what they promise. My husband and I took the 7:00am bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Due to construction and maintenance the road was quite rough in many places. Despite this the ride was very comfortable, although i couldn't imagine taking the journey without the sofa seats. The driver was great and at all times we felt safe. There were plenty of washroom/food stops and beautiful views. It was a great experience!Written September 3, 2023

- subashs8640 contributionsNormal bus is good but Luxury bus is more comfortable and cozyI choose to go Pokhara by tourist bus which was normal and clean enough. It took 9 hours to reach Pokhara by road conditions. However, I took a luxury deluxe bus to get back Kathmandu which was cozy and smooth travel.Written April 10, 2023
- EarlyBird410 contributionsFriendly and professional!Sabin from Best Treks Nepal went out of his way to be helpful. He gave very clear details about bus time, seat, pick up point and sent friendly messages on the day to check all was well. As a solo traveller, I found this useful and reassuring. The bus had comfortable seats. The ride was slow and bumpy because half the road between Kathmandu and Lumbini is "under construction". A good thing the driver was skilled! Best Treks Nepal also arranged my return trip to Kathmandu with the same care and attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend them.Written March 11, 2023
- janonaplane0 contributionsOk ride with way too many stopsThe bus was ok and relatively clean. We stopped about 6 times on the way, the first time basically just after leaving the city itself after 1 hour. Including all those pauses of 15 to 30min each, the ride to Pokhara took about 9.5h.Written February 11, 2023
