If you book any tour book one with Msingi! We spent 5 days in Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Inc the Crater and Serengeti. A life time experience enhanced by Msingi's knowledge of the animals and bird life. He knew where to go and how to find everything add in being a great dinner companion and friend.

We did the 8 day Lemosho route with Colman and Earnest. Thanks to them we made it to the summit by guiding us and maintaining good spirits. It’s an awesome experience!

Had a great experience on Safari in Tanzania with Duma Explorer / Alika Africa. Msangi is an excellent and experienced guide who was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and all the animals (which we fortunately saw a lot). Everything was prepared for us and you can tell he really takes care of his Land Cruiser which made the driving component comfortable and felt very safe. I can see how the guide for a safari can really make the experience since you spend so much time with them and I’m glad we were lucky enough to have Msangi. All the best!

We had the most amazing Safari which was definitely helped by the fact that our driver/guide Msingi was so experienced and knowledgable. He also looked after us like family and was extremely caring. He managed get everything possible out of each day but the highlight was being present for the birth of the Wildebeasts on Valentine’s Day! Unforgettable holiday of a lifetime. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We did 1 Day Kili hike and 7 day Safari tour in Tarajaire, Ngorongoro and Siringeti. We had an amazing, unforgettable experience. Our safari driver Masangi was great, very experienced. we stayed 2 nights at the Oliver's camp, every staff member made sure we had an enjoyable & safe experience. Food provided at Oliver's was delicious high quality food. My special thanks to the chef who talked to us and made special spicy Indian food. Would love to visit and stay at the same camp in the future. We stayed at Ngorongoro crater lodge one night, beautiful place, however they hurried us during dinner as we have arrived there late. Also the box lunch provided was very disappointing. We stayed at Siringit Migration camp 2 nights. The staff there was amazing, food was great, our family had an amazing time.

We had read all the fantastic reviews of Duma Explorer after our safari was booked by Wayfarer in the UK. The reviews didn't do justice to the amazing experience we had. From meeting Msangi, our guide, on day one, through to when he dropped us at the airstrip in Northern Serengeti, every day got better and better. He was so patient and knowledgable, explaining all of the birdlife, plants and animals to us. It was a pleasure to talk to him about his experiences and to learn all we could from him. We went to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and into the Serengeti. He was good spirited, despite the very long drives over the days, on sometimes fairly challenging roads. He offered us the chance to see whatever we could, rather than just chasing the other jeeps around the parks (which some guides seemed to do). We laughed and chatted across the trip. it felt like we were leaving a friend by the time we said goodbye. I cannot recommend Alika Africa/Duma Explorer enough and if you get Msangi as your guide then you are incredibly lucky! I hope it won't be our last time having the benefit of such a brilliant company and guide (He's told us all about Gorilla trekking in Rwanda and now that' firmly stuck in my mind, along with Nairobi and Botswana - you guys may need to branch out into some other countries!!). Please pass on our greatest thanks to Msangi :)

We had a very limited amount of time (2 half days and 2 full days, and inflexible dates). Stacy, the owner, talked to us about our specific priorities and crafted the perfect trip for us. She arranged our flights, our stay at a luxury safari camp, where we had a great experience and an incredible guide. She changed our flights as our plans changed, and made flight suggestions that, in effect, gave us another half-day in the Serengeti. We really had no idea of what we were getting into and she helped us understand our options and make the best possible choices. Not sure I will be in Tanzania again but if I ever go again I will calling DUMA. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

After the trekking on Kilimanjaro, we spent our second week of holidays visiting the north of Tanzania. Duma Explorer/Alika Africa offers the possibility to customize the tour and the the agency was very kind to provide us all the support in order to better organize the tour. We visited Tarangire NP, Lake Natron, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro conservation area. Thanks to our guide Isack we discovered amazing places and saw so many animals. It was incredible to see lions, hippos, zebras, giraffes so close. Moreover he taught us a lot and he was very prepared to satisfy our curiosities.

It was a dream to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro. Duma Explorer/Alika Africa made this dream come true. All the organisation was great: as soon as we landed we were welcomed and taken to the hotel where we had the briefing with the guide to check the gears and we spent the night. The following day we started for the 7 days trekking along the Machame Route. Our crew was amazing : really kind and I can say they did a fantastic job to provide us the best support to reach the summit. Good quality 4 seasons tent, a careful nutrition to have energy for each day, a check of the physical condition every evening...these are just some examples of what is offered. Really really satisfied of this adventure!

The second part of our travel consisted of a 6 days of Safari. Again Duma explorer was the best choice!! Stacy during the travel organization was so helpful in defining the best tour possible!! Choosing very particular and amazing place where to stay during the travel! We visit Tarangire Lake Natron North and Central Serengeti and at the end Ngorongoro. Our guide Isack made these days unforgottable!!!! He taught us so many very interesting things on all the animals, the nature and environment!!! He is so prepared and has amazong eyes!! He can see (and show to you) a very small bird eating a snake on the top of a tree!! Or even a group of cheetah in the yellow grass! But to us the most important thing was his GREAT RESPECT OF ALL THE CREATURES AND NATURE! And trust me is not so obvious (we saw very bad things just to obtain a good photo!). ASANTE SANA ISACK!!

The travel of our life!!! We chose Duma Explorer/Alika Africa thanks to our friend that went here last years. And we did the best choice!! The Kilimanjaro ascending was amazing... our guides Ema and Shaban and all the crew, all of them... made our dreams come true... with the Kilimanjiaro philosophy of PolePole we really reach the summit. During all the path they take care of us in the most amazing way... they cuddle us with their attention, their simpaty, but even readiness and strenght!! Porters are my new heroes!!! I have not enough word to thanks them!! At every camp you have your own tent a private toilette hot water and great food (Jamal you are great!) All brought by these amazing guys. THANKS THANKS AND THANKS AGAIN ALIKA AFRICA!! ASANTE SANA!!!

After finishing this hike I literally could have done it again, I loved it that much! My husband and I reached the summit last September 2023, after planning and preparing for about a year. Needless to say, everything was amazing. I would recommend Duma Explorer , so easy to communicate and work with. The guides and porters were exceptional!!! We travelled in a group, ourselves and 8 others. Our only complaint during this trip was that half the group were not prepared which at times made it difficult for the rest of us that were. Unfortunately you don’t get to choose who’s in your group. We made some wonderful connections with our guides and porters. Our guide Colman Grand, was exceptional from the time he met us at the hotel til the moment we said our goodbyes. He certainly dug in and got me to the summit! Our 10-day private tour of Northern Tanzania was exceptional. The logistics were flawless, with every detail—from reservations and food to the itinerary—handled seamlessly. I truly do not have enough words to convey what a fantastic experience we had with Duma Explorers and their partner in Tanzania, Alika Africa! My brother and I went on a 6-day trek up Kilimanjaro followed by 3 days of safari in Tarangire and the Ngorogoro Crater. From our initial research, through the planning stages, and up until the end of the trip, our experience with Duma was seamless. Stacy was communicative, easy to work with, and made us feel so welcome despite our many questions. On the trip, we had some absolutely outstanding guides. Our head guide Colman and assistant guide Gabriel were superheroes, and successfully got my brother and I to the summit safely and with so much fun and laughter along the way. One of our porters, Dickson, is a true angel. The rest of our team was equally incredible, and we were so happy to hear how much they love their jobs and how much they love the company they work for. If you are thinking of climbing Kilimanjaro or taking a safari in Tanzania you absolutely MUST go with Duma!!! A truly life changing experience for both of us. Our 7 day safari was almost indescribable, with seeing more amazing animals than we could have imagined. We were 4 older women friends reconnecting after many years and it was our expert guide Justin Mushi who made it fantastic for us! Riding in the Land Cruiser with Justin every day was like traveling with a professor with amazing knowledge of the animal kingdom.. plants and trees and insects too. And he was fun and funny, and a great driver. We always felt safe and taken care of. When it was time to leave Justin and Tanzania, we all became teary eyed. We could not have asked for a better experience!
