          Amazing experience
I loved every single part of the trip. The best thing was that you really see the real Dominican life on the village and you can buy some real cocoa and coffe from the farmers. It’s been really a great adventure! 100% recommended. And please if you book make sure to leave a tip for the drivers. They don’t gain much and you can really make their day! 😊

          Fantastic.
The tour was very expansive and covered a wide range of experiences available to enjoy in the Dominican Republic. The tour guide was VERY impressive in his mastery of many different languages and in sharing his knowledge of the country’s culture, economy, politics and history. If you want to experience the real Dominican Republic and immerse yourself in the culture, this is the perfect tour. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic delve into the real Dominican Republic
Very knowledgeable guides who gave us lots of information about the island and people. We visited a cigar planation, church, coffee and chocolate farm and a beach. We would highly recommend this tour.

          Long day
I was anticipating a wonderful drive and a better understanding of the DR people. Well, we traveled in a bus without AC. It was hot and the roads were terrible. I kept hitting my side and left arm continuously. We only had 15 minutes with horseback riding, a walk thru the church, less than 30 minutes at the beach and 10 minutes shopping. We spent way too much time traveling compared to activities. The school was nice but I hated interfering with their school day. We also spent a lot of time looking at the house and looking at chocolate and coffee beans. This activity could have been better if it was arranged differently. I feel we spent too much time in a bus where we were bounced all over. The lunch was the best part of the day. I feel it would be a good activity if they arranged the differently. I was not happy with our time spent on this tour. I really wanted it to be comfortable and educational. Lastly, our guide spoke mostly in Spanish. This tour is not for everyone. I would suggest they get new buses and change the schedule to allow the participants more time at less places. I would delete the shopping tour. It was terrible with the smells and crowded areas.

          A little bit of everything
Lorenzo was our guide and he did a great job explaining everything, making it fun and interesting. He and the driver picked us up on the hotel on time, although there was some confusion on the list over our name as we had booked through another travel agency. The tour took us to Higues and the first stop was on a horse ranch, cigar making and a shop with paintings. We rode the horses for about 15 min to go back and forth towards the back of the property. One of the guys working there noticed that I was nervous since my horse kept pacing and he offered to take me and he even took photos! Super nice and talked to me about the ranch and the horses. At the front, the cigar maker gave us a demonstration and you could purchase cigars. Also, Lorenzo provided more information. Then, we went to a sugar cane plantation and stop on the side of the road to see it up close and Lorenzo cut some for us. Next, we stopped at a elementary school. This part was sad, a lot of kids were asking for money through the windows of the bus. The school had a little box for donations too. It was good to see how Dominican people leave, but sad they had to resort to begging. After, we did a stop in Higuey see the market and the cathedral. The market I would have skipped since there was a lot of construction and holes. The cathedral design was interesting and stained glass beautiful. Our stop for lunch was at El Salto de Anamuya and there is a river behind it. Some people were swimming. It was buffet with spaghetti, rice, salad, some fruit, pork chop and chicken if I remember correctly. The next stop was at the cacao and coffee farm and the house of a really nice lady that she let us tried cacao before processing and some hot chocolate. She also sold some coffee and cacao products. We were able to tour her house to see how traditional Dominican houses are built. To finish we went to Macao beach. The beach is beautiful but it is too rough for swimming. When we went it had red flags on it. Even Lorenzo said to not swim or to stay very close to the shore as the surf was rough. There are some bars and restaurants you can sit down too for shade as well.

          Great value and experience
Amazing experience from start to finish. Made great by our guide Lorenzo, who was very helpful, educational and knowledgeable. It was very interesting to see how the real non turistic Dominican republic looked like. If the rating could be higher would rate higher than 5 stars

          Best Punta Cana Tour!!
This was by far the best tour/excursion we have ever been on. Every single minute was perfect!! It was incredible to see how they live. The Dominicans are the most resourceful people I have ever seen in the world. The tour guides made the whole day so much fun but yet so educational. I will definitely be doing the tour on our next trip back to Punta Cana!!

          Enjoyable tour with local flavor
We did the full day tour (non adventure). This tour provided a varied perspective of the wider Punta Cana / La Altigratia area. I liked that we visited small local places instead of polished touristy places. It felt that we were contributing in some way to small providers in the area instead of feeding money into large businesses / chains. Our guide was very knowledgeable and seemed committed to helping the people of the DR. He brought treats for the children at a local school. He also went out of his way to help my 87 year old father find a comfortable spot at our beach stop. Lunch was good and we also purchased the photos - saved us from getting our phones out all the time. The team were on time and very friendly. I’d definitely recommend this tour.

          Interesting
Interesting tour. This is a long tour with several stops. It was good for the price we paid. I enjoyed all the activities we did. The beach at the end was amazing. It is beautiful and I wish we had spent more time there. The only thing that gives me pause is the horse back riding. The horses we rode were very thin and did not appear to be well cared for. My horse seemed to be convulsing on the tour. It was an unpleasant experience. I would recommend this tour though. It’s a great way to get a feel of the local area in a few hours.

          Five stars
We had a blast!! We were met at Baia Principe resort. It began with a little confusion getting all the people from different resorts on the many different excursions. When all sorted, our guide, Emilio and driver Roberto took us into the country side. Emilio was terrific!!! His English was great. He explained the people and history. (Warts &all) First stop an overview of the island the a tour to watch cigars being made and an overview of the Rum. Emilio was informative & patient. Next stop the city od Heugley, and Catherdral. Emilio walked us through explaining everything (ladies need leg cover: skirt [wraps are provided] pants preferred for men) the off to Maria’s house- an authentic Dominican home with authentic meal. Emilio took us on a tour of the floral & fauna, explaining the bananas, coffe, coca… growing all around. Then to a demonstration of how they are prepared. - a short sales pitch to sell it all. We had a homemade authentic lunch prepped by Maria. All our questions were answered and treated with upmost respect. There was a rainstorm so the river swim was a dud. No one’s fault. Still a bonding w/ our other tourists. All in all - 5 Stars!!! Jorge met us at the airport and gave us all the do’s & don’ts. (Dint drink the room water and beach vendors. We felt safe and cared for. Everyone was professional. Worth every cent!!!

The best way to discover Punta Cana
This was a great experience for me and my wifey, we are from Cancun, Mexico so we are used to these type of tours but this was truly a unforgettable and unique experience, this tour has pretty much everything you want to do when visiting Punta Cana whether its eating local food, doing horseback riding, going to the beach, learning about cacao, coffee and local cigars or having your own personal paparazzi that will give you a great deal to take all your pictures back home. One of the best tours I ever experienced, really grateful for this company as well as their great guides, drivers and photographers.

          Must See in RD
Although I booked this at the last minute, I was able to make some changes with the tour manager and gave me the best deal possible. This trip gave me a whole perspective of what RD is all about. I appreciate all the places that we went to. Our tour guide Samuel, was great! thank you! I appreciate everything!

Great cultural, foody and family tour
Between the Cathedral, the visit of the Dona maria dominican republic coffee and Cacao interpretation centre, Sugar cane and cigar making demonstration interpretation and history tour, not to mention the little horse ride ( for beginners), it was a lovely day with Manuel , our guide who was both informative and entertaining for adults and kids

Booked this trip for my family of 4 for 10 am. Received a message that I would be picked up at 1045 and that the time frame I booked for was “suggested” and could be changed by the tour company at any time. We arrived at the tour and it was so disorganized. We were told to just sit and wait, but when I asked someone else, we had to fill out a form. No one seemed to know what was going on. Once we finally got to the buggies, we were taken on a quick 5 minute drive, we stopped and they did a presentation on coffee and chocolate, pushing you to buy over priced cheap items. When they found out we were American, they thought they could swindle us by charging $35 for a cheap coconut string bracelet.
We got back on the buggies for an hour drive to a beach. The beach was nice and warm, but riddled with people trying to get you to buy food.
After about 10 min, we jumped back in the buggies and drive another hour to the cave. There were so many people that you couldn’t go down to see it, let alone jump in. We were only there for 10 min. My son ended up falling on the rocks, and scraped up his leg pretty bad walking up to the cave where we parked. We wanted to try and get a taxi back, but was told we couldn’t because there weren’t any.
Our biggie also was running out of gas as we pulled back into the tour and many of the buggies ended up breaking down.
The weather was pretty awful this day as well, which was fun at first because the mud, however it ended up down pouring multiple times and you couldn’t see anything in front of you. I understand that the weather cannot be controlled by the tour company, but it was not a pleasant experience.
Our guide was a very nice man named Gino.

Overall, the experience was not worth the money. Save it and find something else to do. We planned to be there for the four hours as noted, but was picked up at 1045 and did not get back home until 5pm!

My husband, brother and Sister in law thought this sounded great. I ended up fracturing my left foot and had to leave.
My brother and sister in law continued. The buggies were low to the ground, they were jerked all over and covered in mud. The cenote was man made and small. They didn't even know what it was, the trip to the beach was ok but there was too many people. They were directed to go shopping at every opportunity which got very frustrating for them. Overall, they felt it was not fun.. The individual who booked this activity said it was great, not too difficult. Great for a family. We tried 3 of the activities by this company. I would NEVER book another one
Waste of time and money.. I was completely disappointed.

We arrived at the destination with no expectations other then have fun. We were loaded into our buggies and away we went. My husband and daughter were in the front and my son and I in the back. The terrain was muddy from the rain the nite before so everyone got mud covered and had fun. We stopped in a little shop where we were told how they grow harvest and produce coffee, cocoa, vanilla, and coconut products. We then had the opportunity to purchase products to take home. Back to our buggies and off to the caves. We were given the opportunity to jump into the cave and swim. Was very refreshing. Back into our buggies again and we were taken to Macao Beach. The water was beautiful and the beach amazing. The view was breath taking. After about 30 mins or so of playing on the beach we headed back to the base. Our buggy was having break issues so the swapped ours out and was a great ride back. Over all the excursion was a total and complete blast. We had so much fun and I do very much recommend this. It’s fun for the whole family.

OMG...we had a blast! They sent us an email the night before to confirm pick-up and give us a description of the truck that would pick us up. The pick-up was timely. The actual boogie ride was amazingly fun especially with all the mud since it rain the night before our trip. Very organized and great staff...will for sure do it again!

I bought this excursion 2 days in advance.
First of all- they don’t give you a departure time. My husband and I waited in the lobby of our hotel to get picked up until 8:45 and had to ask every driver if they were here for us. The van finally showed up at 9 and I showed the driver my online ticket (which says they will accept). The driver did not have our reservation and sent us away and told us to be back at 11:45. So we left to get breakfast.

Strangely, As we’re about to eat breakfast I receive a random call that the driver is here to pick us up.

Frustrated, we leave our breakfast and run back to the lobby only to find out that the driver left after I had just talked to him on the phone 2 minutes prior. I receive a call from “someone” saying to come back at 11:45.

This is a total scam and the company should provide an actual departure time and pick up.

Oh yeah- and they refused to refund my husband and I $120

Do not book with this company.

It was interesting to see the countryside where people actually live. Prepare for intense driving through roughly terrain. We’re an adventurous recent retirees and it was was rough but what at ride. A swim in a pristine underground cave was special. Wear a bathing suit and a bandana to keep out the dust. A thrill you won’t get at home.

After being picked up at our hotel, we were taken to the starting point where we were given helmets and instructions for the day. If you didn't bring face coverings(bandanas), you were able to buy some for $5. I highly recommend using something over your mouth and nose and protective eye wear as it can be very dusty or muddy.
There is a stop at a local plantation for a demo of how they process cocoa and coffee beans. Free delicious samples are available while merchants sell coffee and cocoa and hand made jewelry. There was NO hard selling, if you didn't want to buy something no one bothered you. Unfortunately the cocoa and coffee are not allowed through customs in the US.
After the plantation tour, we drove on to a cave with a deep water natural pool inside. It is a little crowded here, but the line moves quickly and the water is so nice and cool after a fun hot dusty/muddy drive.
After the pool we drove on to beautiful Macao beach. WARNING: there are so many local vendors trying to sell you something, or have you take a picture with their iguana or monkey that it can be overwhelming. I also didn't feel comfortable leaving anything on the beach while we went into the water, so we swam in shifts leaving 2 people on the beach to watch our things. Bring waterproof containers to hold your stuff so you can swim together.
After the beach we drove back to our starting location and were able to review pictures that the photographer took of us all day. The pictures were excellent!

This is fun for all young and old. My entire family loved it and there were no complaints. A bit muddy but that is because the night before it had rained so make sure you take clothes and shoes that you don't care to throw away afterwards.

A very slick and well organised operation. Wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised how smoothly the whole morning went. We (me, my other half and my three kids aged 16, 19 and 21)were picked up on time at 8.05am from our hotel by the green bus as described in the email received the previous day. As you approach the buggy "depot" you start to appreciate how popular these buggy trips are when you see the large numbers of buggies of various shapes and sizes parked up. Don't be put off though. The various operators all seem to work together to keep things moving. One thing to note is they will only let you drive a buggy if you have passed your driving test, although we were not asked to produce our licenses. My 19 year old daughter drove a 4 seater with her brother and sister whilst I took a 2 seater with my other half. We all had a real blast and enjoyed the whole trip from start to finish. You can fully embrace the getting covered in mud thing (we did) or minimize damage by driving gingerly through the puddles The first 2 stops at the coffee/coco farm and water cave are a bit commercial as you might expect but still fun. The kids loved the water cave and were 1st in the queue to jump into the water which was refreshing but not cold......top tip, as soon as your convoy parks up near the water cave make a beeline for the entrance asap to avoid being last in the queue. You can purchase water there for a $ a bottle. Next is a fun 25 minute drive to the amazing beach stop where you get a chance to wash off and swim. We found the whole trip to be a fun experience also providing the chance to see some of the island's back waters and people away from the confines of the hotel. A great value half day family adventure!!

Love love LOVE!!! if you are looking for something to kill a day, omg go! This is sooooo much fun, the buggy's are old school and the terrain is 4x4 at its finest. You get muddy and wet, it is a HOOT!!! The guides are amazing and take care of you very well, the whole experience is fantastic.
