Everest (8848m), the top of the world? Undoubtedly, the moment will be once for the lifetime. Besides, Mt. Everest Makalu, Lhotse and Cho Oyu, Pumori and other alluring summits are magnificent to witness from Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar ( 5545m).
Flying from Kathmandu into Lukla, we head to Phakding with our equipped crew. Afterwards, we begin to experience serenity and wilderness in Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The adventure seekers and keen photographers find Everest Base Camp Trek a fabulous.
We will be using normal teahouse accommodation during the trekking days in the mountain.

We had been travelling a lot so opted for a 9am start and to not stop for lunch, everything fitted in perfectly and we ended up at the last one, just as the sunlight was softening over the Kathmandu basin - beautiful! Sumit was so friendly and accommodating, his explanations of the temples, their history and legends surrounding them were clear and fascinating. Sumit was the perfect host. He was a welcoming and engaging leader, with a gentle sense of humour. He looked after the group all day, providing excellent information about the different sites. His English explanation of the history of was great…though I’ll struggle to remember most of it! The driver also did a fantastic job given the busy roads. People should be aware that it can be tiring (17000 steps) and the roads are very bumpy in places so any physical barriers may preclude you selecting this trip.Written March 15, 2025

His English is excellent, and he provided just the right amount of information at each site—enough to understand the history and significance without feeling overwhelmed. Beyond the main attractions, Ram also took me to a shop selling genuine Himalayan singing bowls and a Thangka painting school, where I got to see artisans hand-paint intricate mandalas. We had a group of 6 members trekking to Everest Base Camp in mid of the April. We began with Lukla Flight from Kathmandu Airport. The flight was a bit scary. However, the mountain panorama was incredible.
I must say, we were fortunate to have our guide Manoj. He took really a good care of us. Actually, I had minor headache when I got Namche. Manoj suggested me some many things to do to avoid it and I did. Consequently, I was okay.
Finally, thanks to Manoj and entire team of Luxury Holidays Nepal. If anyone is going Nepal for Everest Base Camp Trek, I recommend to go with Luxury Holidays Nepal.
