Short changed with bad customer service
Just paid for a 2 hr whale watching experience and the driver returned us after 1 hr 20 mins, when questioned on the time the response I got was 'that's long enough'!!. It got even worse when I dared to ask for a partial refund for the 40 mins we didn't get. Wouldn't use again and I would recommend going with someone else who actually gives you the time you paid for !

    Value for money, fun adventure
Great fun ride. Mixture of fun; fast-paced speeding through the waves and slow-paced sightseeing from the ocean. Whole experience lasts about an hour so good value for money. And from someone who gets seasickness extremely easily, I had no problems with the sea swell either.

    Impressive experience
We really enjoyed an almost private boat tour, we were only 4 people and captain Bill. The weather was perfect, our captain explained what we saw on the coast. We had to lookout for dolphins. At the begging it is hard to differentiate waves and dolphin fins but then we saw them around sunshine coast, in groups. It was wonderful seeing them in their natural habitat. They didn't get close to the boat. The boat was very comfy, no plastic chairs, more like horse riding. I definetly recommend. No whales this time of year though.

Adventure and fun riding the waves
Great adventure and heaps of fun. Took my teenage daughter and she loved it. It was so much fun riding the waves. The driver did a few stops at sea to explain where we were . Adventure and tour guide all in one. Totally recommend

    Knowledge, Humour and Thrills
Had an absolutely amazing time on the thriller. Bill was an great skipper with extensive knowledge of the area, blending his lesson like structure of the surrounding beaches with humour that almost had us forgetting we were on a 500hp boat. But just when you forget that fact, he takes you off a wave like never before. 10/10.

Rude presumptuous “No Sale” staff member!
Oh So sad. Very disappointed with the extremely rude presumptuous female attendant today She presumed that my group of 4 all in our sixties were not able to cope with the jet boat ride! She clearly needs training in customer service! Even if her presumptions turned out to be true she could have arrived at the answer in so many ways where we all wouldn’t be wanting you to know this. She became verbally hostile because we were offended! Ffs!!!! Well done my dear friend who felt the need to do 20 pushups as we walked back past her Clearly New Zealand jet boats and Tasmanian jet boat operators are far nicer and assess risk bir presume risk! Stay clear rude dude dude Maybe she should be pensioned off!

A great way to see the coast!
We were thrilled to see whales and dolphins on the ride! There were a few splashes which the younger teens liked. The throttle work was a bit on and off, which was my only reason for rating less than 5

    The name says it all
It was a truly exhilarating ride and quite a physical experience. Not for the faint hearted. The turns were awesome and riding through and jumping the swell was great. The boat captain had a great time as well with informative commentary and a good sense of humour.

ADOID AT ALL COSTS - BORING!!! MISLEADING!!! NO THRILL!!!
My 9 year old son nearly fell asleep. He was asking me "Dad when can we get off I am so bored". The driver is 80 years old if he is a day (see previous review from another customer - couldn't agree more). So disappointing. Absolutely nothing like the amazing experience I had in Sydney harbor previously where the ride was exciting, we got wet, tossed about and laughed our heads off. This "ride" was soooo conservative. Absolutely no chance to get wet as the driver simply incapable of the turns / speed. Such a let down. Please read this review and avoid. I promised my son I would save as many others as possible from not throwing away $150 and losing valuable time on their holiday.

    Awesome
My daughter and I had the best time. It was super exciting and fun. We also got to see a lot of the coastline. Seeing pods of dolphins was such a treat. If you’re in Noosa and looking for an adventure, do yourself a favour a book Noosa Thriller. We can’t wait to go again.

Best experience! We got to see quite a few whales, especially a mother and her calf up close and personal.
Andrew was great in dealing with, esepcially as our original cruise with another company was cancelled due to mechanical issues. Andrew promised to ring if there were a cancellation and he did. 10 out of 10 service from start to end.
Highly recommend this company!

Today, we were lucky enough to experience the 2 hours Noosa Whale Watching Tour. We were amazed to see an adult Hump Back whale while she was feeding her young calf. Our tour guide Bill had a great sense of humour and was incredibly knowledgeable about the Noosa National Park and Sunshine Coast history. He was also very respectful of the beautiful whales and respected their space.
We then got to see a large group of dolphins to top an overall wonderful experience!

The boat fantastic comfy safety brief good.
I was really hoping to see whales as we have been to a few spots and seen offshore .I thought they may have done homework and found out some locations to where they have been spotted or how far out they would be . Spent hour and half all looking around and around . Saw nothing . Disappointed as paid to see whales . Lots of history chat but I just wanted to draw from man's experience to find whales. Bit pricey if just for joy ride , I did get bored . As it's slow tour as stated.
Wished tour guide did more homework on whale locations .
So sorry as was so looking forward to this and it was a big spend for me and a lot of time getting there and back for not much return.

We didn't get to see any whales this time but we enjoyed the boat ride regardless. Bill is a very experienced skipper, felt so safe in his care. Thankyou

My partner and I went out on thriller and had a exhilarating experience. Bill was an excellent guide and we eventually spotted a humpback whale with her calf. Recommend trying thriller out to anyone. Seat was nice and comfortable also and I got to see another view of the Noosa/Sunshine Beach coastline.

Having been on whale watching boats out of Hervey Bay, I was expecting a smallish but covered boat, so was quite suprised to find our boat was the Noosa Thriller. We splashed through the waves out of the river and into the ocean - something akin to a roller coaster ride. It was fun, but not what I’d expected.

If you can’t fit it in your pockets, it’s not going with you. If you’re thinking of taking your DSLR you’re on the wrong boat. If you’ve got a waterproof camera or go pro it will be fine.

If you’re a serious photographer or have a kids, I’d drive up to Hervey Bay and take a tour out of there. If you’re looking for a real adventure where you start by signing your life away, here it is.

We did see whales.

As always we appreciate our customer feedback. We do advertise on our brochures and website that the Noosa Whale Watching Tour is operated on the "Noosa Thriller" which is the name of the boat. All of the boats that operate Whale Watching Tours from Noosa have to go through the surf zone known as the "noosa bar" to access the open ocean to view the whales. We have had several professional photographers on-board this season who have sent us some amazing photographs of their experience. Taking a camera on board is not a problem. Plenty of families with children have thoroughly enjoyed the tour as the boat allows for 360 degree views of the Whales and Dolphins plus the beautiful scenery of our Noosa National Park. Signing a waiver is standard practice when heading out into the open ocean on a commercial boat. Hervey Bay offers a different boating experience to Noosa, operating in protected and calmer waters and is only a 3 hour drive further north ;)

We travel to Noosaville every September school hols with a large group with all of us taking a ride on the Noosa Thriller at some stage. This year the kids were heading out on their own (for the 3rd time) but at the last minute I decided to hop on as well. I would have to say this year was the best ride ever. How crazy the ride gets is determined by the swell, and we had just enough to get some really good air and to get very wet. The highlight though was the pods of whales and dolphins putting on a real show.

I noticed in previous posts that people didn't want a comedy act, didn't want to stop to be shown the sights and thought it was "tame", personally this is why I enjoy the Thriller more than the competition up the road and it is far from tame. Yes there is a long dialogue regarding safety procedures etc. but this is a maritime safety requirement. I don't think anyone would be complaining if any of the points covered had to be put to use one day in the open sea.

So to Bill and Maree, thanks again for a fabulous trip and watch out for the Meerkats and white pointers! See you in 2014.
