This tour was absolutely amazing. It’s a small group and Vasili is lovely!! We were able to learn all about olive oil, rearing sheep in the mountains and making cheese, honey and bees, and of course, wine (including picking some grapes, because it was September)!! The lunch overlooking the mountains and the vineyard was awesome! I would do this tour again in a heartbeat and plan on it when I’m back in Crete!! Do not hesitate to book this to learn more about what it’s like in the villages of Crete from locals!

This is advertised as semi private wine tour with Max 6 passengers. It was a surprise on the day to find we had 8 passengers !

what a great experience! our guide Anastasia is so fun and knowledgeable. the winery we visited was rustic, fun and adorable. i highly recommend this- it was one of the most fun things we did in Crete. it was off the beaten path in a good way, but made so easy to access due to our guide. Booked through their website, this company came recommended to me by a family member. Had a brilliant time with our guide Oz as we visited both wineries and the world’s oldest olive oil tree (the latter being surprisingly interesting and beautiful). We went in early September and ended up being the only ones on the tour, Oz did not skip a beat as he was fun, knowledgeable and energetic. He really made the day special for my partner and I. It was very fun visiting both wineries and learning about olive oil at Anoskeli, as well as learning about cretan culture and customs throughout the journey. We separately booked their Wine Dinner Under the Stars event and our guide Anastasia was equally personable, so I have high confidence in all Chania Wine Tour excursions going forward. Definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely wine dinner for two. Our guide Anestasia came to pick us up from our AirBnB in Koufos. She was very friendly and taught us a lot about wine making, its history, and the region. The food was traditional and very tasty. We had one glass of white wine, one of rose, and three red wines to taste. We could refill as much as we wanted. The wine went great with the food. Afterwards we were taken home by van again. It cost us quite some money, but taken together, we had a great experience and we definitely recommend this activity!

STOP! You've found the best Wine tour in Chania. We managed to get a last minute booking for the Wine, Olive oil and Honey tour and honestly had one of the most amazing experiences. Vasili was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question we had. We got to explore how Olive oil is made, tend to his Bee hives and explore his family vineyard where we learned about how to taste wines and make a Cretan Salad. All surrounded by the beautfiul back drop of Chania. We created memories that will stay with us for a long time and cannot wait to return and share the tour experience with our family and friends. This tour was outstanding and so personal. We were a group of 4 women and we were joined by 4 other people so a nice intimate group and by the end of the day we were all friends. This tour exceeded our expectations. We packed so much into our day. Olive Oil milking sheep making cheese honey wine wine did I mention the wine. We all helped prepare lunch which we ate in the middle of a vineyard. Vasili and Anna Maria open their home, their family and their wine barrels and welcome you in. This was the highlight trip of our 2 week trip. Highly recommend this experience.

It was an incredible experience and totally worth it. Our guide, Oz, picked us up in Chania and took us to two wineries (Anoskeli and Karavitakis). We also saw the oldest olive tree in the world and learned about the olive oil production process and the cretan way of life. The guide was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about wines. More than just a regular touristic tour, we felt like we were on an outing with friends.

Oz was the best! Our highlight from our trip to Chania, and we cannot recommend this enough. Highly recommend to any wine lovers, or those who are new to wine!

Anastasia was our incredibly knowledgeable, warm, funny and absolutely charming guide through old town Chania. The wine and snacks were all excellent quality, delicious and authentic and it was such a pleasure to hop from place to place. Locations were close walking distance from one another. Would absolutely recommend booking this tour if you’re looking for a wine-oriented local’s perspective. She took all the guesswork out of finding great spots to eat and drink! We were happy to be taken under her wing for the afternoon and we left with a better sense of what makes Cretan wines and old town Chania unique. We also truly appreciated being taken to a place with such a great selection of not only local and international wines, but beer and spirits as well. The selection was superior to any market we had found. Don’t hesitate to book this - can’t imagine a better way to spend an afternoon in Chania!

What a fun and unique experience! From getting to see an olive oil production facility, bee keeping, and having a truly “family style” Greek wine tasting experience and lunch this was one of our favorite things we did during our entire trip to Greece! Vasili is super knowledgeable about the area and had lots of fun facts to share as well, he also made us feel like we were friends coming over to visit his family’s home rather than a tour group. I would recommend this tour and company to anyone I know traveling to Greece!

A fabulous way to spend the day, really interesting and enjoyable,learning about the making of high quality olive oil, seeing honey bees producing honey and experiencing wine tasting of delicious wines made locally by our engaging host Vasili. We also enjoyed a very tasty lunch in the vineyard. Absolutely loved it and would highly recommend the tour.

Awesome few hours exploring Chania's old town trying delicious wines and incredible nibbles. Our host, Anastasia, was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and brilliant fun. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone with even a passing interest in wine. We certainly leaned tons about local Cretan wine. So, to summarise. Absolutely brilliant!!

What an experience and a total blast. We met Anastasia at the start of the tour and it’s safe to say we became great pals by the end of it. She’s fun, welcoming and has amazing knowledge of Cretan wine. The food, the wine, the places, views and company were all perfect and can’t recommend highly enough. If you like your wines and want to do something a bit different on your holiday then this is a must do, you will not be disappointed

We ( self and wife) had booked for the Dinner under the stars at the Manousakis Winery through Chania Wine tours and we had an absolute blast. Anastasia picked us up from our Hotel and drove us to the winery while regaling us with a some interesting Cretan wine history. We were with another couple from Finland and we really enjoyed their company. The winery tour was followed by us tasting a number of the wines and along with an excellent meal. Anastasia kept our interest peaked throughout and it was overall a really fun experience. Would definitely do it again. We also brought some extra wine to take home from the winery.
