The island trip does what it says they take you out in Toyota land cruisers they should let people with him /back problems you might get thrown about

We did the quad bike tour of the southern island which included seeing turtle bay where we did see the turtles, we also stopped to see the lemon sharks, the caves on the island, drove over Santa Monica beach and went into a small town where we stopped for a cheeky beer and some home made pizzas. This was booked through Rotcha Tour's via WhatsApp and was great ! We had to go to the front of the security barrier where a taxi was waiting for us, be aware that there are many other providers and one tried to poach us on the way out of the hotel as we weren't sure if they were or provider or not (they weren't). The tour was great and quite intimate as there were only 4 quads in our group including the guide, we paid €95 euros for 1 quad and 2 people (there was an extra €10 euro fee from the Touareg as it's further away) normal price would have been €85. Was an amazing tour and would highly recommend to see the island! Be aware you will get very dirty ! Wear old clothes or easy wash clothes. Face coverings can be purchased at the quad start point they were €3 each.

This tour was fantastic. Well worth it if you’d like to explore and see new things. Our guides were amazing and just like everyone on Boa Vista so friendly. We saw turtles, sharks caves and they let my son who is nearly 7 try sand boarding on the sand dunes which he absolutely loved. You really get the feel of what it’s like here on the island away from the resorts whilst sat in the back of their pick up feeling the breeze and absorbing the sights. Well worth a trip with these guys was a brilliant trip and always happy to support a small business who works with local people. Brilliant job guys see you next year 👍👍

Great trip, saw everything we hoped to see. Driver Carlos was great, guide Marlene super enthusiastic. Warning for others, 90% of these tours are in 4 seater pickups, if you are not 1st pickup, you’ll spend 3 hours on a bench in the back. We were lucky. The shack on Santa Monica beach is disappointing, stunning beach, but stop is at worst bit. Would recommend Rotcha tours

Great trip. Lovley to see the island and the locals. Guides where fantastic, very knowledge. We went to the shipwreck, dessert sand boarding and Sal Rei to visits the local areas. Fab!

Collected promptly from just outside hotel. Choice of sitting inside or sitting outside of pick up. Chose outside. Fabulous. Only 4 of us so felt very personal. Had the best informative trip. Marlene was brilliant and Bernado the driver was a very courteous driver. Had a fabulous lunch at casa Rosa in sal rei. The whole experience was a very remembrance one for our anniversary. Don't just book with reps..take the leaflets handed out at the airport. Paid a lot less than tui prices and as said before only 4 of us so made it more personal. Best 7 1/2 hrs spent. We did this tour today and are so glad we did! We got to see lots of great parts of the island that we could easily have missed. Highlights were the beaches and sand dunes, the excellent lunch with great quality food and plenty to go around. Alcoholic drinks are extra but very fairly priced. The wreck was in a fascinating place. The landscapes vary and are just amazing All in all, well organised, safe, interesting and good value. Highly recommended if you want to know the island better

From the beginning till the end the excursion was great. Our tour guide Emmanuel along with the driver provide us all the stories behind the sites visited and act like pros in all the situations even when we had a flat tire at the Turtle Bay. I'm a beach lover and I could say that the Santa Monica beach is by far the most beautiful beach ever seen! Also the lunch at the Casa Rosa in Sal Rei was amazing! If I have to come back to Boa Vista, I would not hesitate to choose Rotcha Tours again! Highly recommended! Greetings from Romania!

An absolutely amazing trip from start to finish. Picked up outside the security barrier of Riu Karamboa, waited a really short time for another group to join us and off we went. Honestly some amazing places visited and some stunning photo opportunities. Sandboarded in the desert and visited some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen, saw some turtles swimming & got the opportunity to visit a local pottery place, where we could purchase something if we liked however didn’t feel any pressure to do so. The lunch was absolutely beautiful; we ate at Perola de Chaves, which we were so impressed with that we returned there off our own backs on our final holiday night for one of their themed evenings! Visited the capital city where we were able to go about our own business for a while; myself and my partner opted to have a drink at a cafe however there was plenty of other stuff to do like visit the fruit market etc. In total about a 7.5 hour trip, honestly so worth the money for some once in a life time opportunities. Emmanuel was amazing and super friendly; also, I take my hat off to the drivers because they are brilliant at what they do, the desert is no easy place to navigate! Would 10000% recommend this trip to anyone visiting, I’d do it again if I could!

Picked this trip as wanted to use a local company and saw positive reviews. Great communication with Anita from the start. She asked if possible for us to change the day. Not an issue for us as on holiday. Collected from hotel & given run down on trip by Anita and her husband Emanuel. Felt like we packed a lot in. Felt a very personalised trip - did sand boarding, saw turtles in natural environment :-). Had a lovely photo opportunity at the caves & a welcomed swim - saw flying fish. Small local pottery was nice & friendly. Lunch included was delicious ( no leftovers) we had a welcome drink on arrival & choice of chicken &/or fish. Feel sure they would be able to cater for specific dietary needs if asked. Quick look round the town - a little fishing porto & few local gift shops. Then off to see the shipwreck. Very rough &bumpy track took some time. The wreck was just like photos & to be honest would have been happy to ho back to hotel after lunch. Maybe the shipwreck could be additional if wanted. All in all - fantastic value for the money, great way to see the island. Would definatly recomend - really enjoyed the lunch!

What a great trip we had with Emmuel and his driver. Rabil pottery was small but lovely gifts to buy. My husband had a go at sandboarding in the desert was fun. The shop wreck was great to see for real better than photos and had a drink and icecream stop.in Sal Rei. Recommend this trip

Absolutely amazing.. the best experience ever. We cannot thank Emanuel and his friend enough for the wonderful service. Starts off with driving on the back of a pickup, in the evening, with the moon and the stars around you, driving through the sand and with tranquility surrounding you. Then the guys found turtles hatching and we saved them by setting them free in the sea. We could do it all over and over again. Outstanding. Thank you so much!!

We had a great time on this trip. Anita was very friendly and helpful just like the driver. How they find their way around the sand tracks with hardly any road signs. It was lovely to see the turtles swimming, the cave visit was great though getting to it over the sea was tricky but fun. Would definetly recommend this company.

Sadly we couldn’t actually do the trip as had to cancel same day due to illness but Aneta was amazing offered to just take my daughter (adult) for me as well so she wouldn’t miss it although she decided not to, and she then arranged a partial refund even though we weren’t entitled to one
