Guys, you really need to take this tour. From start to finish it was absolutely amazing! We had about 24 people on this tour and it was absolutely top notch. The crew were fantastic and took exceptional care of us throughout the tour. It was a long day but it was so enjoyable. Firstly the Red Dragon Boat is authentic and spotlessly clean. It is well equipped to meet your every need. The food was spectacular and we were totally spoiled throughout the day. The activities were outstanding and well supervised. We had the most spectacular day and we highly recommend this tour!

So you are probably out there trying to figure out a day out from your resort life and want to make sure you book something worth your time. Let me give you a full run down of this trip. My gf and I came to Thailand for 10 days. 8 days Koh Samui and 2 days in Bangkok. I’m adventure seeking, love to travel, and ran around the globe. My gf likes to be in a pool at a luxury resort and not a fan of day excursions - especially ones involving boats. Last time we were in Mexico I convinced her to go whale shark snorkeling and she got unbelievably sea sick from the speedboat ride. She’s the type that gets sick on car rides. Because of this I have to be very careful in the excursions I select. While in Koh Samui the activities selected - cooking class - elephant sanctuary - half day van tour - and this semi private boat adventure. We stayed at the Vana Belle Resort (amazing butler service) and decided to alternate excursions and resort pool/beach days. When selecting a boat trip I knew it could not be a speed boat and had to be a bigger boat that didn’t sway too much while anchored. Out of all the bigger boat tours this one stood out. AMAZING TOUR. IF YOU CAN ONLY DO 1 EXCURSIONS IN KOH SAMUI THIS IS THE ONE TO PICK. They promptly pick you up at the hotel. Very responsive over WhatsApp. You arrive at the dock and get on the boat. There was probably 24+ people. Many couples and families. They serve breakfast. Fried spring rolls, gyozas, fruit, water, coffee soft drinks. All the drinks are available for free throughout the day. Unlimited. After a couple hours you arrive at the marine park which incredibly beautiful. The first activity is kayaking. They unload 2-3 person kayaks. This costs THB 250 per person (bring cash). If you don’t want to kayak you can stay on boat or follow the kayaks in the dinghy with one of the guides/photographer. Everyone kayaked except for 1 grandma . They take a bunch of pictures of you. Then you head to the snorkeling site. Amazing visibility that day with loads of sea life. More pictures. Then it’s buffet lunch. Green curry/fried chicken tenders/rice/noodles/salad. Then you head to the Emerald lagoon. More pictures. Somewhere in there they served us frozen margaritas. On the ride back we got sundaes for dessert. And then ride back to Vana Belle. What made this excursion stand out was: Boat big enough that no one on board got sea sick. The way they organize it and time it you never share space with another tour group. You will not see any other boats/tours at your kayak and snorkeling sites. You will be alone to enjoy the Emerald lagoon. The tour company has special permits to be the last ones in/out of the Emerald lagoon. Versus when I went whale shark snorkeling in Mexico there were a gazillion boats and tours at the same site and time and so it feels crazy and crowded. The tour guides/ancillary staff make sure all your needs are met. They work diligently to make sure your day is perfect. Best of all it gets the stamp of approval from my gf which is a big deal to drag her away from the Vana Belle Resort and all the luxuries.Its a fun and beautiful day with no worries or stress. THIS IS THE TOUR TO DO IN KOH SAMUI. IF YOU HAVE TO DO ONLY 1 ADVENTURE TOUR THIS IS IT. You can feel that the tour crew’s only agenda is to make sure you have a great time. Things to bring: THB 300 per person for entry into Marine park. THB 250 per person for kayaking. Tip money. These people work so hard to give you a good time. I gave a mix of USD and Thai baht because that’s what I had on me. Also you have access to all their pictures by filling out survey and writing a review (like this one). GUYS - I took all this time this morning to write a review because of how great our day was because of these tireless crew members. The least I could do was give a shout out to help them and to help any people out there on vacation. I rely on Yelp reviews, Amazon reviews, Google reviews, TripAdvisor, Viator in order to live my life so I wanted to give back. I hope this helped your vacation.

Amazing experience!!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Koh Samui. Relaxing trip on the Red Dragon boat with beautiful scenery to look at. If you are able to opt for the kayak, you will not regret it.

Fantastic experience if you are wanting to get off the island and spend a full day on the water. I liked that the tour is semi private, only 28 people can fit on the boat. We went kayaking to explore a couple of lagoons and an area where the water level is low enough that we could get out of the kayaks and swim or walk around in thigh high water and take in the beautiful scenery. You don’t have to be fit to enjoy this adventure. Then we went to another spot to go snorkeling. The final destination was an island where you can climb some stairs for a beautiful spot to take pictures, it’s also where the movie “The Beach” shot some scenes. I have been on other boat tours where the food wasn’t very good but they did a great job in this area as well. Also, they provide plenty of drinks so you don’t need to bring water. They have a cooler stocked with water, sodas, and flavored teas. This is an all day trip, we were picked up at 8:10 am and dropped off at around 7:00 pm. I’d suggest bringing an extra tshirt to change into if you use a rash guard but you don’t need water shoes.

The boat tour was great crew were fantastic and food was the best we've had in Koh Sumai the Chef was amazing! We got picked up on time transferred to boat perfectly - the boat is very clean and in great condition- it is a long day but we saw so much the islands we went to were fantastic- first we did a hike up to a mountain and saw a beautiful lagoon had a swim then onto another place for kayaking - we kayaked into a lagoon with amazing rock formations then we went to another place for snorkelling but didn't see much- it was a really windy day and very cloudy - it was a great day and fun!

Phenomenal day. Everything was great: the boat itself has every comfort, the food and snacks are very tasty and provided all day, the kayaking to the hidden lagoon was incredible, the jacuzzi was a plus, … The staff takes very good care of you, always with a smile. Thanks Monkey man & the rest of the staff for the wonderfull day. You were the best!

Was on the 26/08/24 red dragon tour. Staff on board all excellent and knowledgeable. Transfer smooth. Soft drinks and snacks readily available throughout the tour along with 2 meals. Activities good however note that you probably won’t see anything snorkelling. Also note if not wanting to use the kayaks you still get to get off the boat to go to the swim spot which is good. I would bring trainers the stairs in the hike are very steep and definately not flip flop appropriate. I do recommend the tour however was a very long day and boat does get very full with little seats in the sun.

We wanted some fun activities and this trip delivered what it says. Kayaking, snorkelling and a steep climb to a viewpoint. Everything was well-organised and safe. The guides were knowledgeable and the whole crew friendly and efficient. All food was fresh and delicious and they catered to vegetarian very well. We highly recommend.

We enjoyed every moment of our Tour! The communication was great in organising our pick up, the boat itself was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast & lunch were delicious. The timings were well thought out and we had enough time at each beautiful stopping point. Kayaking was a highlight, snorkelling was stunning and the steps to see the lagoon were well worth it. What made the trip even more special were the amazing staff. They were so thoughtful, informative & fun. Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant day, highly recommended. The crew were fantastic. Kayaking and snorkeling great. Food tasty. Good, small group vibes. A long day but worth it. Our kids (10, 13, 16) had a great time. Ice cream and margheritas on the way back, what could be better!

Excellent trip, we would highly recommend it. Kayaking, snorkelling and a climb to a beautiful emerald lagoon. Fabulous fresh food cooked on board, super fun guide and magnificent scenery. We only had 13 guests on board and no other boats where we stopped. This is a must do tour.

The views were great, activities were fun, service was excellent, food was cooked and served onboard. It was overall a very comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Amazing boat trip. I would recommend to anybody. Kayaking and snorkelling were awesome. Saw some big fish, nice corals and anemones each with their own Nemo :) Great locations, nice and quiet away from the busy areas and food and staff were perfect. Choose this one!

Trip was awesome. Staff did everything to make your trip a pleasure. Boat was great endless food and drinks. (Water and soft drink). Kyakinng well managed for beginners snorkelling awesome. Would recommend this above other Boat trips in koh samui.
