I really liked the tea tour, which provides an opportunity not only to see and learn general information about growing tea, but also to taste different types of tea. It is worth noting that the founder of the company in a short time founded a very successful company, did many good things to fill the tour with interesting details, for example - you can collect tea leaves from which they will make fried chips for you !!!In general, we spent the day amazing!

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Daiki and his team are very knowledgeable and we learned so much about tea, something we all know and love. Learning about how tea is planted, harvested and created was eye-opening and this was definitely the highlight of our entire trip.

Our family visited here when staying in Osaka for a week, and it turned out to be a real highlight of our holiday in Japan. The tour itself is very interesting, even though some of us are not big tea drinkers we all found the discussion of the process of tea making and the intricacies of running a tea farm very interesting. Daiki was very knowledgeable and had great stories and interesting answers to everybody's questions. The group was small enough (6 people) that we all could ask plenty of questions and it was very interactive.

The scenery of the area is incredible with forested shrines hiding beautiful and pristinely cultivated tea hedges, and it was great fun picking tea leaves in such an environment.

The factory tour was also very interesting and showed you how they can process all the tea from farm all the way to cup! We really enjoyed the tea tasting class where you can taste and compare all kinds of differently processed teas as well as different varieties of tea plants, all grown locally. The flavour of the green tea confectionery and dessert selection they have is incredible and is definitely the tastiest matcha and green tea desserts of our trip. In particular I found the hojicha ice cream amazing.

Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

My husband and I did a season of tea harvesting in Wazuka. Every day is magic there, I'm always excited to wake up to see what the sky is doing. There are endless tea fields everywhere you look, hard to capture on a photo the feeling of breathing in, and standing amongst the tea fields.
We didn't get to explore much while we were there, so I decided to go back and do a tour.
It is definitely a bit off the grid, but that's the charm. The journey there is very beautiful and it helps the mind to wind down. I meet my guide Johanna at D-Matcha and started our walk from there. Johanna is warm, friendly and really nice to spend the day with. She loves taking photos too so was nice to stop whenever I liked. I got to see the back roads and loads of traditional Japanese housing, small shrines with no other tourists around.
Thank you Johanna!
