Our tour was thru Thistle Tours .Our amazing guide and driver was Chaz. He was a wealth of information at every site we visited.

This was one of most favorite tours we took on our recent British Isles Explorers Viking Cruise. We had a group of 11 friends and family and Thistle Excursions was just perfect. Very knowledgeable and friendly tour Guides - June and Maxine.

Had a great experience with Thistle Excursions. Once off the ship, the meeting point was easy to find and well organized! Our tour guide was great—>funny but knowledgeable, our motor coach was new so that was a bonus, the driver did well on narrow roads and delivered us safely! I was concerned about booking an excursion separately from the cruise sponsored excursions but it was really a great experience! Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing tour with a small group of six people, guided by the wonderful Mo. She picked us up right at the harbor entrance and later dropped us off there, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. Mo was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Scotland, the Highlands, and each of the places we visited. She also answered every question we had, making the tour both informative and fun. We highly recommend Thistle Excursions to anyone looking for a memorable experience in Invergordon, especially when arriving with a cruise ship.

It was an easy and enjoyable drive from Inverness to visit this beautiful castle and gardens. The castle is very well maintained and the exhibits are an interesting insight into a family history through many centuries. The gardens are meticulously maintained with some beautiful sculptures placed at various points throughout. We had lunch at the cafe and it was delicious. I would particularly recommend the scones. The little village next to the castle is pretty and quaint. Well worth the drive.

We had an excellent day with our tour guide, David. A custom tour for four of us let us choose how and where to spend our time, and never left us feeling rushed or harried. David was a font of local and historical knowledge and arranged some fun we specifically requested -- a visit to see some "highland coo" (cows). He also introduced us to Scottish Tablet (a dessert) and made sure we got good pictures with Nessie at the Loch. For a fun, relaxing, friendly experience it couldn't be beat. Highly recommended.

June was a wonderful tour guide, gave us insight to local tales and took us places the large tour buses can’t go. She also found a local eatery with the best fish and chips we had in the BIE, and shopping for our grandkids.

Mike gave us an excellent tour of Inverness, Urquart Castle and Loch Ness. We learned a lot about local history and saw some incredible scenery. The car ride and Mike's personable nature really made the trip special. He was able to customize some of our stops based on requests and interests. All stops were timed perfectly to avoid crowds and the conversation was genuine rather than uncomfortably forced for 8 hours. Highly recommend this tour company and request Mike as your guide if you can.

This was the best tour of our 14 day cruise. Mike was our Guide and he definitely did not disappoint. I will use Thistle Tours every chance I get in the future. They are so much better than Paddywagon. Although Brian our Paddywagon Guide was great, their bus was worn out and the worst and no refunds for a broken down bus. Choose Thistle Tours and request Mike. You will be glad you did!

The microphone on the bus didn’t work. The backup that the guide had echoed so bad we couldn’t understand stand him. The places we visited were uninspiring. It was a waste of time and money.

One of the best tours I've ever taken! Our guide, Mo, was spectacular. She was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We enjoyed seeing Loch Ness, the stones at Clava Cairn, and the Highland coos. Mo explained in fascinating detail the historical significance of every site we visited.

Carol Anne and Mo were great. Lots of information and kept us on time. It was a jam packed itinerary. We would have liked a little more time in Inverness

We had a wonderful tour of the major sites when our cruise ship docked in Invergordon. There was just the two of us and Mo, our driver, was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of her way to accommodate us during our trip, including searching for craft-related activities not on the itinerary that we would be able to do. We highly recommend Thistle Excursions and would definitely use them again should we visit this part of Scotland in the future.
