This is where locals typically hang out and have a drink after work in Tokyo. Sample both food and drink in the backstreet Izakaya bars, with lots of traditional dishes to choose from like sake, local beer, and Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). After the first bar, the next stop is Shibuya’s Kabukicho alley to visit more bars and taverns. Taste Tokyo local cuisine, hear live music, play games and take part in quizzes. My daughter and I had a great tour with Yuki. Tokyo was fun and exciting! Shinjuku was a magical part of the city with back alleys and vibrant night life. Our tour guide had a ton of energy and a wonderful laugh and smile. Thanks for the memories!

Shinjuku is a busy, confusing area, so having a guide steer us around was ideal. We visited three izakaya restaurants of different styles, a more traditional one, a more lively one, and a serene stand-up sake room. The group size was perfect, big enough to enjoy meeting new people but small enough to maneuver the streets and hear what our guide shared. He was very friendly and helpful, even made sure we got back to our Metro line. The food is ordered from a special menu prepared (in English) for the tour, so choices are fairly limited. Highlights were the bean sprouts and deep fried tofu at the first place, and the gyoza at the second. At the sake bar, you choose one type to taste from a small card listing fragrance and richness.

Yuki was a great tour guide. Went to places we would never of went to; and areas we would never walk on our own! Was a great eye opener. Food and drinks are always great! Do recommened to take this as a tour - meet so many wonderul people from all over the world!

We had such a fun night! Our guide Sho and his colleague were fantastic! It was very organized but flexible enough to not seem like we were on a strict schedule. There was plenty of food and drink and we had a fantastic group from all over the world. I highly recommend this for a fun night out to see some local places.

Enjoyed the tour! The food was nice and more than sufficient and we experienced different types of izakaya! The conversations over the table offered me an insight to life of a local in Japan which added to my appreciation of the country!
