    Adventurous Food!!
My friend and I decided to try this tour to savor unique and unconventional dishes such as fugu and horse meat. Initially, I had some concerns, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience and definitely worth trying. Our tour guide met us at Ginza Station with a highly visible signboard, making it easy to spot him.

Tokyo Whisky Night: An Unforgettable Evening of Whisky Tasting
I went to Japan for a business trip and decided to take this tour to experience one night in Tokyo. It was absolutely worth it. My tour guide, Hitami, was punctual and took me to a wonderful bar where I had the opportunity to taste various types of whiskies. He was also very knowledgeable as well.

    Breathtaking day; extraordinary support
I can only say thank you a thousand times. The team from Japan Awaits simply made the engagement to an great event. Everything worked out perfectly and I am overjoyed. I come from Germany and the 9000 kilometers were no obstacle to plan a breathtaking day with the help of the team. At first glance it sounds a bit exaggerated "breathtaking, extraordinary" but it was. The photographer / videographer was simply top. He captured the moments perfectly so that we could share everything with our loved ones at home. One or two tears were shed there. From the preliminary talk (first a questionnaire, then an interview and afterwards a lot of email correspondence) everything worked really well and my specific wishes were taken into account. I would always plan the day with the team in the same way again. A thousand thanks 😊 Gary & Kati

    Incredible Authentic Experience
We were running late and our gracious host Izumi was waiting on the street so we wouldn't miss the location. The location was beautiful and felt really authentic and the included food and sake were delightful - lots of fresh seafood! Our Geisha Yukimi was so lovely and very accomodating and her performances were tradional, graceful and gorgeous. The entire evening was translated easily by our host and the drinking games were also a good laugh! This was one of the highlights of our trip - Arigato Gozaimashita!

    Amazing visit to Ghibli Museum
We had a great experience visiting the Ghibli Museum. Julie from Japan Awaits was so helpful sending me emails with all the information we needed it to meet our tour guide and reserving the museum tickets. Our tour guide Noriko was so sweet and kind. She contacted me right away when we got lost on my way to the museum, and once the tour started, she gave us very knowledgeable information about the history of Studio Ghibli and what to expect in the museum. The museum itself is magnificent! So worth a visit!

    Returning to childhood
It was an unforgettable experience with Japan Awaits. The tour was well organized, and our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about Studio Ghibli's work. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly, and I felt like coming back to my childhood. The Ghibli Museum itself was a whimsical wonderland, with every nook and cranny filled with artistic details and creative displays. It was a delight to explore the exhibits, watch exclusive short films and take the pictures with the big Laputa on the rooftop

    Mastering Tokyo subways.
The subways were extraordinary. The history of various places shared by our guide was great. He was adaptable to quick changes in plans. And was also very useful in interpreting when we shopped.

    Wonderful day trip in Takayama
Japan Awaits had carefully planned out our itinerary based on our preferences. Our guide, Miyuki, was delightful. She was very friendly, professional, and spoke excellent English. She provided excellent background on the culture and history of what we were seeing. Although this was largely a walking tour, we also had a very nice driver to take us to places we couldn't easily access on foot. Highlights included Takayama Jinya, the Festival Floats Exhibition Hall, and Hida Folk Village. They arranged a very enjoyable lunch for us and even added a visit to a shop specializing in the local crafts. It was a great day.

    Whiskey tour- 5 samples
We wanted to learn a little more about whiskey and try some samples. The tour is a bit expensive but it is worth it. We met Shun and walked to an underground bar. The bar was full of mostly locals. It was a cool scene. There was a large selection of whiskey including foreign bottles. We ordered one appetizer each and started with the Yamazaki and a glass of water. He explained to us the history of whiskey in Japan. He showed us a book that had the tasting notes of each whiskey we would try. He also told us the story of how Nikka was born from Suntory. It was good to get to know Shun and enjoy snacks and whiskey with him. The Hakashu was good. The Chita was my favorite. The Hibiki blend was very unique. We had the regular Yamazaki and the 18 year. I’d say overall it was a good sampling of what Suntory offers. I still want to try more whiskeys. Shun gave me a handout that he had prepared, to take home. We had booked for two and wanted to add a third person and we were able to contact the company directly to book the extra person. I am grateful for that. See pictures of our experience. The bar was a bit busy because of the holiday weekend so we stayed for awhile. We never felt rushed but you should be prepared to spend about 2 hours or more for this tour.

Interesting Military History Tour/Museums of Japan
This was a very informative tour regarding Japanese history, particularly military history, since the Meiji reign and including WWII. Our guide was well informed and answered many questions. Many exhibit were in Japanese only, so he was helpful in interpreting the museums. We recommend this tour and our guide, Izumi.

We booked Yosuke to take photos of us in Tokyo. I asked if we could meet in Shinjuku and he was cool with that. He took us to a few different locations, coaching us what to do for the videos and what poses to do for the photos. Then we went to the Love scupture where I propsed to my girlfriend. The photos and video he sent us were just fantastic. We were really excited after we watched them.

This was absolutely one of the best things I did on this trip. The photographer and interpreter were both extremely kind people. I got some of the best photos I’ve seen! She took phenomenal quality photos and gave me every single one she took. She has great talent for photography and this was worth every penny. They really made the end of my trip amazing! It was overall a great time and I got to have lovely conversations with both the photographer and the interpreter. I can’t wait to come back for more!

Great pictures were made at recommended photo shooting spots in Shinjunku by a very pleasant photograph! In the early morning we could avoid people crowds and could use the morning sunshine at shadow places for nice contrast.
