- JaDeGirL0100Fun and memorable experience in AkihabaraOne of the things my husband really wanted to do in Japan was drive a go-cart in the street, a la Mario Cart style so we did in Tokyo, specifically Akihabara. We walked about 10 minutes from our hotel to the meeting spot and were the last ones to arrive. You've seen the videos and it was pretty much just as crazy fun as you'd expect. My only issue was that we did not really get a full hour because some of it included the instruction BUT most of it was delayed due to a go-cart that kept stalling in the middle of the street. This can be dangerous and they should have tested these go-carts out to make sure they were in working condition before handing them over to people. With a stalled go-cart, they swapped the go-cart from the paying customer with the tour guide and we continued on our way through the streets of Akihabara. While it would have been awesome to do the tour after sunset, I'm kind of glad it was the late afternoon and we could still be visible to the drivers on the streets. We drove on the literal streets of Tokyo and our carts can only go so fast so when the lights turned, we still had to obey the rules of traffic. Mind you, there are no seatbelts or helmets provided and you literally sign waivers, so the company isn't liable for your actions. The tour guide took a bunch of photos for us and we were told not to use our own phones while driving. We could however take photos or video while stopped but the chances of dropping your device is higher if you're a the mercy of traffic in Tokyo. Part of our tour included circling a local university so there were parts of the ride that was deemed safer than the busier intersections. My husband had a blast; he could not stop exclaiming how it could possibly be legal to do this. We booked our tour in advance through Viator/Tripadvisor. Do yourself a favor and bring your International Driving Permit. It's required and if you're in the US, you can get yours from AAA. This is a fun and memorable experience so if you get the chance, check it out.
- Michael D00Great Fuji TourGreat experience, relaxed travels, extremely informative, nice lunch, good cruise, highly recommended A+ service. Thanks
- Connector2075081504500A must for people who like art and craftingBeginner friendly but also very fun for people with some crafting experience. The masters are very friendly and like to share their knowledge. A great experience, a nice souvenir to bring home, and new knowledge about Kintsugi and Wabi-Sabi.
- C6783ZGbradj00Great fun - even as a solo adult traveller! As a solo traveller, I had great fun. I enjoyed the lunch setting and the Sumo demonstration. I also appreciate the staff offering to film and photograph me wrestling with one of the Sumo wrestlers - very grateful for that!
- Mobile62399300Up close and personalIt was a real privilege to watch these athletes train and have such a close view of the wrestling challenges.
- petermH7618KR00A rip off!Never do again. More time on the bus than at places of interest. Twenty minutes at Mt Fuji out of a ten hour day! We paid for Shinkansen return but not registered with tour guide so no ticket!
- Amanda U00Go to a real tournament insteadBefore I booked this event, I did research what others thought of this show. We were really looking forward to this event. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed. My ratings: Service 3/10 ( overbooked and tried to seat 6 adults in a 2 seater booth, refused to correct seating, rude), food 3/10 (cafeteria quality, low value for price), entertainment 3/10 (1hr sumo show, rest of time was watching each guest wrestle with sumos like kids st fair), overall 3/10 (tourist trap, may be better to attend a tournament). The pictures you see for this event is basically the essence of the show for US$150pp.
- 688andisb00Exceeded expectations - very worthwhile experienceThe visit definitely exceeded expectations. We were able to sit directly adjacent to the ring and spend plenty of time watching the sumōtori practice. It was intense in the ring and a very laid back and friendly atmosphere outside of it. If you are interested in learning more about sumo and unable to go to an actual tournament, I would definitely recommend going to see a practice with these organizers. We were very glad to have visited and thank you for the opportunity!
- honeydonthink00Sumo Saturdays in TokyoSo delighted to have this experience early on a Saturday morning in Tokyo. I came away with a deeper respect and better understanding of the centuries old tradition. For the first hour we watched an extended warm-up and then the sumos began to wrestle each other in earnest. At this point another group of 20 or so arrived and were seated on cushions in front of us which was mildly disappointing as our views were obscured. Otherwise I am very pleased to have had this opportunity.
- EddieGams00Fascinating class in a beautiful space. The property is gorgeous. Densely packed with an incredible assortment of bonsai and suiseki, the place was tranquil and yet overwhelmingly beautiful. We were invited to explore the aesthetically pleasing traditional home as well. I was bummed the master was away but apprentice Joseph was patient and helpful. We learned to wire a small conifer bonsai. The class was just me and my friend. A unique experience that was well worth a trip out of central Tokyo.
- Aviv M00Great fun!We had an amazing time on this activity. The staff were really helpful, polite and fun. The trip itself was amazing fun with plenty of enjoyable extras throughout. An amazing day out in a beautiful place, highly recommended!
- 803sonjak00ExcellentVery informative and entertaining, a fantastic way to learn about the life of a Sumo Wrestler lunch was excellent, staff friendly and efficient, highly recommend this tour
- Eliza I00Best authentic Japanese experience ever!I thought I wouldn’t be able to sit on the floor for 2 hours for the practise but the pacing of the practise was well timed and you could appreciate so much hardship each part of the practise was as it progressed. I also enjoyed that all the tourist spectators were quiet and very respectfully watching the practise. It was an excellent atmosphere appreciating this ancient practice. Thank you very much 🙏🏻
- SCL123212334570800Really fun!Awesome experience. Was only my partner, me and the operator that went out. We saw many things - was a great way to see Ginza, Tokyo and Akihabara. Highly recommend.
- nancyr070900A must-do experienceThis has been one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had in Tokyo. To start off with, they serve you lunch (reason why you must arrive on time). The delicious meal was a noodle soup, breaded fish, mashed potatoes, small salad, and white rice on the side. Cocktails are extra but they do serve ice cream for dessert. You get a demonstration of the sumo wrestlers warm up as well as a demo of a match between the two sumo wrestlers. After that, anyone can challenge a wrestler by putting on a sumo suit. The results are hilarious and epic. A must-do if you are in Tokyo.

I want to start off by saying that we didn’t have an appointment for the day we went and took a chance and visited the studio to see if they had any availability for the day since it was my husband’s birthday. Shimpei of Samurai Armor Photo Studio was so kind and was able to squeeze us into his schedule for the day. By doing so he made my husband’s dream come true.
From the moment you arrive the Samurai experience begins and historical topics are discussed and you select your own samurai armor. Shimpei comes from generations of samurai and is with honor and respect introduced us to the history of the samurai and the honor that it is to wear the armor.
My husband turned into a little child as his dream came true as he was being dressed into the Samurai Armor by an expert in Tokyo. The experience was truly amazing for my husband to experience and for me to see.
They took approximately 200 photos of my husband throughout his transformation. This is a something that anyone who loves Japanese culture and history should do.
Thank you for an amazing experience, for your hospitality and high energy throughout the experience. We felt truly blessed to have had this opportunity.
