The panoramic view we have of the whole Island from the top of Mount Terevaka is amazing. But something that makes this ride special is the opportunity we have to leave a positive mark on Rapa Nui. Plant your own tree and help us reforest the Island.

Such a fantastic trip- we’re still talking about it days later. Tonchi and Alice were really welcoming and the location is stunning. We rode up to the highest point of the island with uninterrupted views. It was amazing! The horses were really calm, Tonchi gave us lots of advice as beginners but the trip was really relaxed and fun and suitable for all abilities. This was a highlighted of our holiday.

Owner (Tonte) picked us up at hotel right on time and took us to his property. He spoke English very well and was great conversation the entire journey. Horses were very well behaved, and the trail was not frightening at all. The ride was about 1/3 thru the forest then we were in the open spaces, so you got to see both kinds of scenery. You get in the clouds on the very top of the mountain, but they pass thru and you have a view in any direction at any given time. Not a horse person by nature but this was a fantastic experience, I highly recommend.

This was the best thing I've done in travel all over South America. Rapa Nui is beautiful. Guides are smart, know what they're doing, and know their history. I'll be back :-)

Horseback riding with 'Adventure Terevaka' was an immediate highlight of an already incredible trip to Rapa Nui / Easter Island, and I'd highly recommend signing up for your own adventure.
We recently booked a day-trip with fairly short notice, during the Tapati Rapa Nui, and the experience was seamless and stress-free. Alice (so friendly, kind and helpful) picked up us from our hotel promptly and took us on a short drive to the beautiful Adventure Terevaka grounds, where we met Tonchi, who would be our guide for the trip.
My friend and I had some basic experience horseback riding, but Tonchi was helpful and answered all of our questions, many just about local life on the island, as we took the ride to the top of Mount Terevaka. The horses were very well cared for - Tonchi is especially affectionate and caring to them and they even lead the way for most of the trip, knowing the best trail to get to the top!
At the top, we had as much time as we wanted to explore the peak and then plant trees Tonchi had brought with him, as he explained what they were and how they fit in with the local environment.
Overall, the experience was maybe 2-3 hours, always safe and fun. I can't wait to return another time for the nighttime moon-lit adventure.
Thank you Tonchi + Alice for your hospitality and kindness. Good luck on your future expansions and rides and congratulations for your awesome business!

This was one of the best parts of our whole trip!! Tonchi was the best guide, fun, knowledgeable, loving taking people out! The ride was safe and fun!! Horses were great and we even had one of this dogs join us on the whole journey, which ended riding back to the barn under the Stars. Do not miss out on this experience! ✨

Was picked up and taken to the beautiful property that this company has right off of the national park. We were introduced to our horses, what kind of trees we were going to be planting, and then headed out. The steadily rising trail through eucalyptus forest was great, then the second half brought us out to wide expanse and great views. Our guide and company owner told us about the importance of replanting trees and the oral tradition theories about what happened to them in the first place. Bring a jacket and hat because it's quite windy up at the top, with 360 degree views! We each got to plant a tree. Spent some time taking pics. Great time. He also has a sunset ride that is popular for obvious reasons, but we wanted to give back to the island that hosted us for 4 days. Go check it out!

What can I say we got super delayed getting to the island and had 1 day ! on the island we did this as our only excursion. Not knowing much about it I did not know what to expect .. Myself and my 13 year old got picked up promptly at the hotel the ride to the ranch was quick and easy and we were on our way shortly with our guide who was amazing ! My 13 yo was not the most experienced so she went at OUR pace which was amazing.. We were told to bring jackets due to the wind.. mother nature had different plans for us we went from sunshine to wind to fog to crazy rain to more fog back to sunshine .. We planted the trees in the pouring rain and IT WAS AMAZING ... just roll with it ! And let your horse guide you .. When we go back this will be on my list to do again.. with extra clean clothes in tow :o) they even swung us by the post office on the way back as we had no idea where it was and how to get there !! .. Give this company a chance they just started on Trip advisor !! And hey guys ! Change your title still !! It should read Horseback riding to the highest point of Easter Island and leave your mark by planting a tree!! or something like that ! LOL Miss you all see you soon !! Natalie

Can't say enough good things about the amazing horseback tour I had with Tonchi. I was lucky enough to have a solo tour with him, and he is super friendly.
Tonchi is a local and knows a lot about the island, so it was a great learning experience as we rode to the highest point on Rapa Nui to watch the sunset. English is his 3rd language, so there were some silences sometimes, but that just gave me time to take in the sights and sounds.Pick up and drop off from my hotel was a lovely touch. 5 stars, would recommend!
Un tour inolvidable con el super amable Tonchi. Conoce mucha historia sobre la isla de Rapa Nui, y me explicó todo, mientras asegurando un excursión divertida y segura. Muy recomendable, 5 estrellas.

Hello Managers,
I am hoping to do this activity on March 8, 2020 but do not see if you are open or all filled up then. Is that possible? If not, do you offer a private solo ride to plant the tree? I would love the opportunity to take this ride & most importantly plant a tree but my time sadly is so limited. I am a Arbor Day Foundation member for decades and have planted over 1250 young trees in the US. This is clearly a very special opportunity which I would love to partake in and have my grandchildren years from now come and check on the tree's growth. Please let me know.
Thank you!
Regards,
Ana Linn
