Our tour guide, Ms. Thais, is very professional. She gave us a detailed introduction to each view, so that we can know the history of Easter Island, the life history and culture of the indigenous people on the island.

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Merahi was excellent. Very knowledgeable & engaging. The Moai are incredible but she really brought to life the history of Rapa Nui. Highly recommend.

Amazing!!! We were hesitant with the up front cost, but having a PRIVATE local guide just for us felt like the correct way to visit Easter island. You are going all the way to one of the most iconic islands in the world. Don’t cheap out on a group tour. Hugo answered all our questionsabout the present and past of Rapa Nui, took care of a lot of the ticketing details, and went above and beyond to provide us with an fantastic experience. Amazing. Christina, our guide for our one personal tour, is brilliant! We listened as she told us of the Rapa Nui history. She helped us obtain the best photo angles and lighting. We enjoyed lunch at a cafe with a view of the quarry. This was the best historical tour I’ve ever experienced. 5 stars!

Amazing experience. Arrived well before dawn and the stars were spectacular. then as the dawn approached the moai slowly came into view. the sunrise silhouetting the moai is not to be missed.

Our tour guide Sebastian Paoa has enormous knowledge about this island, probably from his own heritage and also he was in charge of tourist business of Easter island before. He gave me many updated information of the history, the findings and current theory of moais on Easter island. He went above and beyond to show us the whole picture of East Island. In addition, I enjoy the intellectual conversation with him. I highly recommend him as a private tour guide to learn the history of Easter island.

A remarkable experience in Rapa Nui (Easter Island) with Benjamin. Lots of beautiful places with Moai and heaps of explanations. We are really grateful for this tour, definitely recommend it and would prefer this tour in english to group tours in a mix of spanish and english👍

Had a great and informative island tour with expert guide Cristina, whose personal ties to the island's history made the experience even more remarkable. She was able to answer all my questions, and paced the day's activities in a thoughtful manner. Wow! What a fantastic time we had touring around Rapa Nui with our knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and talented tour guide, Sebastian. We loved every minute learning about the history of Rapa Nui and visiting the historical sites. As well, Sebastian is compassionate. Once Sebastian learned I have reduced mobility (arthritic knees) he lugged a camping chair around so that I could rest when needed, and he offered me his arm when I needed help safely navigating over rough terrain. We highly recommend Kava Kava Tours for its professionalism, knowledge and excellent client service.

Sebastian was so knowledgeable and the best tour guide we have ever had (and we have travelled a lot). He is fluent in English and very professional. He took care of us like friends, and made sure we were always comfortable. He catered to our interests and adapted the tour as such. He also answered tons of questions. In speaking with other tourists from our hotel who did not book with Kava Kava, they were disappointed with the tours as the guides were not as professional, patient and knowledgeable.
