Passenger pickup took a long time (multiple resorts plus traffic). The tour guide drove us to a fruit/snack stand first which was in the middle of nowhere, not sure why. Then we had to detour back to Playa San Sancho where we only got to spend only 20min (not enough). Then we headed to a tequila tasting place. The tasting guide didn't do a good job introducing how tequila was made (no equipment or making rooms to show). The pours were very small while the the tour guide kept telling us "it would cost USD 15 to do the tasting alone" in the van. The tequila per bottle they sold was expensive ($85-135 USD per 750ml). We had lunch there. The food was OK and inexpensive, but later we found out we could have had food at Sayulita (a beach town full of restaurants and bars). We had to spend 2h in Sayulita where it should have been 1h at most (because we already ate and didn't eat there). The time distribution between San Pancho and Sayulita was NOT right.
However, if you wanna go to those two beach towns, I don't recommend you drive yourself. The roads were very rough and you could get lost easily (cell phone reception was not available everywhere).

Hello Handsomeleo123 We are very sorry for the waiting time. About the typical sweets, it is a tasting stop on the tour. We will take into account your comments to improve what is in our hands.
We appreciate your comments and have a nice day.

Pickup at our hotel was late. We were the last ones to board the small bus, so we got the last available seats at the rear end. I am 5'8" and it was a quite bumpy and uncomfortable ride to say the least.
Our tour guide Alejandro kept was informed and he was very knowledgeable of history of the place.
Our first stop was at San Panchos. We wish we were given very more time at the beach.
Then we went to a hippie local market. I found the items bit pricey.
We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant , which also hosted a Tequila testing.
Food was fantastic and we totally enjoyed.
Next we arrived at Sayulita. Sayulita at this time of the year was totally crowded. Beach was totally packed ,streets are full of people/cars/vendors. I was expecting Sayulita to be a more secluded serene beach town, which it was not.
We rented a umbrella and chairs and rested at the beach. Bought few souvenirs.
Our return trip did not commence on time as the van had a small accident and was replaced by a different one.
Our return trip in the evening was a long one as the main highway to PV was jammed with traffic back to back and moved at a snail pace till we reached our hotel.
It was a long day and we were tired.
As for the trip, it was OK, but not I what I anticipated.
Personally , San Pancho Beach was far better then Sayulita.

I suggest taking the word Beaches out of the tour name. We had a fun day and enjoyed the trip but 20 minutes in San Pancho (after two hours in the bus) was a nowhere long enough. The roadside fruit/candy stop was fun but we found the lunch a bit disappointing. The tequila tasting took quite a long time and the food was just OK, with very slow service.. We had two hours in Sayulita, which was wonderful. Guide was great and the coach was comfortable (except of the people who got stuck in the back row)

We booked a day trip from Puerto Vallarta to the smaller neighbor towns San Francisco (San Pancho) and Sayulita „The pueblos of Nayarit“. The tour was perfectly executed from pick up at our hotel to drop off. The chosen locations were great to visit and Roger, our coach driver, did a great job driving us safely to all the destinations. Mike, our tour guide, really knows all the places along the way very well and told us lots of interesting facts about history, nature, and architecture. We had a fantastic Tequila tasting at Mi Chaparrita, where the food was delicious, too.
Don’t forget to visit the „Playa dos Muertos“ in Sayulita, a truly unique place!
Highly recommended, we booked through Puerto Vallarta Tours.

November 10, 2021 We really enjoyed this trip, Picked about around 1000 back to resort by 1700. A tequila tasting a great lunch, Alajandro was the driver Miquel (hope I am correct) was the guide, very informative and fun. I was the only one that spoke English only and he was quite helpful. If you are looking to get out and about without it being a long exhausting day then this is the trip for you.

Miguel and Rogelio were a wealth of information. Rogelio was a great driver, especially when it started raining. Sayulita is a great Gm place to visit, bring your bathing suit and towel. San Pancho Ranch’s tequila tasting was a blast.

Several items listed never happened. No Mexican sweets, no church tours. If you want a tequila tasting you're in luck, but don't feel pressured to buy lunch there. There are much better restaurants in Sayulita at better prices. Both towns are just tourist traps, no history, no particular tour to speak of. A little chit chat about the closed cannery, fish market, and flower place. A lot of chat about a presidential palace that isn't there anymore. We did go to both beaches, but they're nothing special. The beach at my hotel is nicer. You get all of 20 minutes in San Pancho, so look fast. It was very disappointing.

My friend and I were attracted by the description of this tour:
"Sayulita and San Pancho are two beautiful beaches located in the Riviera Nayarit. Sayulita is one of Mexico´s surfing mecca and has been thriving in the past years to become an international preferred destination and a “magical town” by Mexican authorities. Our tour downtown where we´ll have time to look around and enjoy at leisure. Afterwards we´ll visit Playa de Los Muertos, near to the Local Cemetery. Then, we´ll head out to San Pancho, where we´ll visit a Community Center and Mexcolate, a traditional cocoa Factory."
This trip was supposed to last 6 hours (we were picked up at 8:05 in the Conchas Chinas area) but lasted for 8+ hours: About 30min outside of a luxury resort / golf course / country club of the sort looking around, 20min in San Pancho (don't even remember what we saw), 2 hours at a tequila tasting place which was not even included in the description, 2 hours at Sayulita, and the rest of the time was driving in the mountain and picking up / dropping off people. No cocoa factory visit, only one sentence mentioning about a chocolate store nearby. The "Playa de Los Muertos, near to the Local Cemetery" was left off completely and not even mentioned.
We can understand that the tour guide was tired, but his mono-tone introduction and non-enthusiastic attitude kept the bus very quiet. We had three previous excursions, and by comparison, this last one was really boring. We know that the tour guide and the driver worked very hard and appreciate it greatly, but the excursion per se is just not worth of what you pay for.

This tour took us to Sayulita, San Francisco and tequila tasting at a rancho north of Puerto Vallarta. The tour was scheduled to pick us up at 10 am, but they arrived early and informed us about local COVID-19 practices and masking expectations while in the van even prior to boarding the van. Our driver, Alejandro, was courteous and seemed to follow local driving laws and practices. Our tour guide, Miguel, was very knowledgeable about the region and the cities we visited. He spoke both Spanish and English fluently. The tour took us to two small Mexican towns that have lots of shops and bars along the beach. According to Miguel, the populations of these towns have more American and expats than local Mexican residents and it is shown in these towns. The tour also included a tequila tasting at a local rancho, which also allowed for horseback riding, ATVs and other activities. The rancho also serves fabulous meals and drinks. I thoroughly enjoyed our tour guide and van driver. I would have liked to have visited a more traditional small Mexican town.

Miguel was our tour guide. He has decades of experience and knows so much. Beautiful and colorful towns. Short stop in San Pancho, nice lunch at the ranch just outside of Sayulita with a Tequila Experience that we had done previously so we just ate while the others did this. Then a couple of hours to hang out in Sayulita, shop, have a drink, walk on the beach or whatever. Really enjoyed this day.
