Located 16 miles southwest of downtown, the Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is the primary commercial airport serving Edmonton and the surround towns in Alberta. In 2014, the airport handled about 8.2 million arriving and departing passengers, making it the fifth-busiest in Canada. A number of airlines have designated the airport as a focus city. These include Air Canada, Air Canada Express, WestJet, WestJet Encore and Sunwing Airlines. Edmonton International Airport consists of two runways and a single terminal, which includes an attached hotel. Passenger amenities include ATMs, duty-free shopping and other retail stores, restaurants, art exhibits, live musical performances and children's play areas.
