I choose southwest because I hate having to hand airlines $25 each way for a simple bag. If carry that bag on the plane and shove it in the overhead you don't have to pay. But you have 80% of the passengers trying to do the same thing. I hate the fact you have a boarding number. I have done...

I have flown Southwest many times over the past several years and have never had a bad experience. There are no hidden fees. You get two free, yes I said two, checked bags, which is awesome. Their seats are small but unless you are extra huge they are comfortable. The staff is always nice and helpful. The only complaint I...

Friendly staff and crew. FREE internet so I could watch tv. Email and other functions for a price. Free snacks and a wide selection of refreshments. Alcohol for a price.

Although it's billed as a "no frills" airline, Southwest is now the best domestic carrier. Friendly flight attendants, modern planes, reliability, and a two-suitcase baggage allowance. They also let you cancel anytime and use the credit for future flights. Best of all, they don't mess around with petty extras. You won't find food, and there is no first class, but...

I have been flying SWA since the early 90's for both business and personal travel. In over 300 round trips, I never had any lost luggage. Rarely have I had a flight attendant that was not a pleasure to fly with. When the business class tickets became available, I started using this service. Often, I have TSA Prepass status from...

Although you do not get assigned seats, if you book and pay for them to check you in, you get first loading. Handicap persons and families with young children load first no matter what letter loading you have. No charge for 2 bags PER PERSON - weight restrictions do apply though. Just a friendly airline and I would only use...

I am always please with southwest. They are on time, don't charge for luggage, have the rapid rewards program (work towards free flights), the flight attendants are nice, they send free drink tickets if you have the credit card, and just an overall great experience.

Everyone in Flint was very nice to me and my mother. She turn 90 this month. 1736 service was great and they ask us many times if we needed any thing. Very funny when the did the take off skit. Wish I could say the same thing about 3117 the male front flight attendant was more interested in doing things...

I personally like southwest, but there are some downfalls. You have to check in immediately at 24 hours in advance to get a decent seat. You could pay for the "early bird" check in, but that will cost you $15. Seats are a first come first serve, no reserved seating at all. Our recent flight from Chicago to Minnesota was...

About Southwest Airlines
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines (WN) is the world's largest low-cost carrier. Southwest operates non-stop flights to more than 90 destinations in 41 states, the Bahamas, the Caribbean and Mexico. Unlike many major airlines, Southwest does not use hubs, but rather a point-to-point system. About 15 airports with a significant amount of WN flights have been designated as focus cities. The airline's fleet is configured with just an Economy Class cabin. In contrast to many low-cost carriers, Southwest does not charge a fee for up to two checked bags; non-alcoholic drinks and pretzels or peanuts are also free on board. Early boarding access, automatic online check-in and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
