I fly Southwest as my primary airline. I fly A LOT and LOVE this airline. I have NEVER paid for a drink on a flight and I get one almost each time. They send little coupons quite regularly. Half of the time they dont even take them! YEAH! The boarding process is a bit different (Open seating). I suggest getting...

As a frequent business traveler, I am on Southwests "A-List". Well... that doesn't mean much when you have a nine year child who can't board with you on a full flight. I choose to spend my money on airlines that won't break up families during a cattle-call boarding process. Sadly, Southwest isn't even the "low cost" provider in most cases...

Traveling as a couple is such a pain on Southwest. Do we take two aisle seats, or do we sit side-by-side and hope and pray that an overweight person doesn't pick the third seat? We lucked out this time.

On our way to LAX to catch our 1240 flight to SFO I checked my phone and saw a new email saying our flight was cancelled. This was three hours before our scheduled flight. I then frantically contacted their agent to rebook for the 1345 flight. While waiting for our flight in the boarding gate, we checked the status about...

After a long trip with 19 Boy Scouts and leaders, we were beat. Southwest was so accommodating for us. They had a mechanical issue with their original plane. They found us a new flight that got us in just a bit later. They gave us special boarding so we could sit mostly together. The flight crew was very nice. The...

If one is travelling across USA and has international Luggage, just go for this airline. Its the only airline that allows to carry two check in luggages free of cost during travel. Rest of the airlines charge $25 for 1st check in luggage and $75 for 2nd check in luggage. Boarded 803 from San Jose to Phoenix and 3097 from...

WAY better than American Airlines. The staff was polite and were on top of their game. Though the flights were both 15 minutes delayed it was fine. I would definitely fly with them again for their free extra check in luggage scheme.

We were returning from vacation and due to congestion at the airport we were running late. Our checked bags tagged late and we had to hurry to board. Southwest really outdid themselves. Our luggage got on board and the flight was fine. The flights are always full. I was thankful everything worked out and I see that Tampa is very...

The caring & entertaining hosts on the flight from Phoenix to New Orleans are a testament to good service and human levity in the course of mainstream air travel. All the staff performed terrifically as they reminded all passengers about the important aspects of safety while simultaneously admonishing onboard passengers to be civil and courteous with one another. Our main...

Southwest flight was good, the seats were comfortable. The location of the seats I didn't like sitting all the way in the back. Dont like southwest seat yourself policy. When you pay that kind of money for a ticket you should get a assigned seat. I think southwest is best for solo flyers easier to get seats

About Southwest Airlines
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines (WN) is the world's largest low-cost carrier. Southwest operates non-stop flights to more than 100 destinations across 10 countries. Unlike many major airlines, Southwest does not use hubs, but rather a point-to-point system. About 15 airports with a significant amount of WN flights have been designated as focus cities. The airline's fleet is configured with just an Economy Class cabin. In contrast to many low-cost carriers, Southwest does not charge a fee for up to two checked bags; non-alcoholic drinks and pretzels or peanuts are also free on board. Early boarding access, automatic online check-in and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
