Our flight was scheduled for 14:20. At 10:30 we learned that it was delayed until 17:00 but that the deadline for checking bags was 13:05. So they effectively forced us to show up at the airport 4 hours before our flight. The flight finally took off at 17:50. Why in the world did they make us be there 4 hours...

Got to Pearson Int Airport and when through security and had to take bus out to some run down terminal in the middle of the nowhere. This was the start of the Gong show. I think they send the crappy airlines out to this terminal because Sata is so cheap and does not care sbout customer or service. The plane...

SATA/Azores Air is the operated like an Ohio fruit stand, with the customer service of a Department of Motor Vehicles office. If you want to visit the Azores, wait for Delta’s seasonal flights.... or take a rowboat—even that would be better than flying SATA/Azores Airlines!!

Booked a trip through this airline and then read the reviews so it was of no surprise that we were delayed both coming and going on our trip. On the way there we were lucky that they sent us by Taps Portugal but we arrived 6 hours later than planned. On the way back another delay and substituted plane with...

This is a garbage airline with no concept of schedule. They shouldn't be permitted to fly anywhere. Endless delays, total lack of communication and chartering flights out without informing passengers. The Azores are beautiful but I'm not going to recommend them as a destination simply because this is no way to treat people.

This is the worst airline, I have traveled extensively and have never had the as poor of service and delays as I have with this SATA. Come on Portuguese government, get involved here and ensure that people/immigrants have a viable way to get to the Azores to see their loved ones. I can't believe what they can get away with...

This company will ruin tourism for the beautiful islands of the Açores thus affecting the economy of the islands.... have used this airline 3 times in the last year. Each time full of delays changes and horrific customer service. If a reputable company cared about its customers and providing a worth while service, it would do its best to ensure...

If you want to get your vacation off to a horrible start or end it with a terrible finish then book to your hearts content. This is a horrific airline and I know because I work with the Industry as part of my position. Flights are cancelled without notice. More delays than ontimes. They switched planes and routes on my...

Wish we could review minus - worse than terrible experience(s). This company unfortunately is a virtual monopoly. Right from booking - pay extra for choice of seats and still get bumped by people who book months after we did. Try speaking to supervisor at airport arrogant and self serving. Put us on a leased plane (Spanish airline) beyond poor condition...

We had a good flight from Oakland, CA to Teceira on one of their larger planes. Then we boarded a smaller plane to go to the Island of Pico. No complaints except Flight Attendants seemed a little miffed, anger and not very friendly. Basically just going through the motions - not customer service oriented at all. Then our return flight...
