JAL was best airline I have flown to Beijing - and the airport experience in China was so much better than some of the Chinese carriers who had one single line for all check in :-( - Do leave time for Security and immigration though - it can be slow.

we were very happy with this flight as the premium economy seats were really spacious, particularly important for my tall husband. They were capsules and thus one was never bothered by the person in front moving their seat back. There were lots of spaces for storage too. The flight attendants were there when needed, drinks were available throughout, and the...

Solid performance, attentive service. Mostly Japanese clientele -- which to whom they properly cater. Correspondingly, their selection of movies is quite limited. Almost no European movies, and not many Korean, Indian or Chinese... On-time performance and easy, one terminal, hassle-free transfer in Narita.

This is a long haul -- over 13 hours of constant flying. We actually started with a connecting flight from Hong Kong, also on JAL, so the total flying time was close to 17 hours. Check-in was smooth and our bags were transferred without problems. There were plenty of food and beverage options, both Japanese and Western. The quality of...

After awful trans-ocean trips on American Airlines and British Air, traveling on JAL was reminded me of what flying once was until the airlines decided they could make more money by packing customers tight enough to provoke some poor souls to air-rage. On JAL, the seats were wide enough and the leg room ample enough so that we didn't feel...

My JAL flight was actually bearable, and that's saying a lot for my first time spending over 10 hours in an economy seat. This was only my second international flight, my first being on a US carrier to Amsterdam many years ago (I can't even remember which ). The top-notch Japanese customer service mentality was well reflected on our JAL...

Flights were pretty much on time and it made so much more sense to board from back to front after the first class/elderly/children were boarded because it made getting on the plane and checking your carryon luggage in the bins that much more efficient and fast. Stewardess were all very friendly, polite and professional. Would definitely fly JAL again in...

Spacious ergonomical seats which are quite roomy and comfortable. The back is shaped in such a way that it moulds to your back and you don't have to put it on recline to be comfy. Generous amenities (full water bottle to last you throughout the flight, in flight comfort kit and of course fun kid packs for the little ones)...

Having flown Premium Economy with another carrier this year we decided to upgrade for this flight also. It is very much worth paying the extra on a long haul flight and JAL were worth the upgrade but I have to say that the other carrier we used this year was slightly better...not much... the seat comfort and inflight entertainment were...

The extra money is worth it, with more space and better amenities - for long haul trips I would heartily recommend it! My husband is a little overweight (5'9", 230 lbs), so long flying times in cramped seats don't appeal to him. Premium economy let him recline comfortably, with a footrest, so he actually slept, which he normally can't do...
