Bad customer service
Dubai - RomeInternational
I wasn’t allowed to put my seat back on a 6h flight because the person behind me didn’t like it. I asked help to the stewardess and she told me that I could not indeed lean my seat back. The stewardess suggested that she would ask the person in front of me to also not lean the seat back OR that I could move to another seat with more space at an extra cost. Considering how expensive and long the flight was, I think it is ridiculous that I wouldn’t be allowed to lean my seat back and that the stewardess did not even try to speak to the person sitting behind me. The stewardess suggested ME to pay more for another seat, rather than the person behind me that booked an economy seat but clearly wanted more space.

Declining standard of Emirates
Chennai (Madras) - ManchesterInternational
The standard of emirates has dropped drastically. I flew from Manchester to Chennai and back, what Ive felt is that the flights from India to UAE the staff are less responsive or rude whereas the ones from UAE to the UK are more polite. This just feels very racial to me. I have been flying for 33 years now sometimes multiple times a year and the standard of the flights and staff of the last few years has been declining drastically. The ones from India especially seem to be much less mainained with broken armrests, back rests and head phones. All of which I faced this time. The last few years I have been hoping this flight would improve but, no .... they just dont seem to care. Poor management.

please fly Qatar. Emirates business class is worse than Qatar's economy class. absolutely not worth the money at all.
Dallas - BengaluruInternational
we love Qatar. we thought we would try Emirates. now we know why we love Qatar. bye bye Emirates. Emirates business class is worse than Qatar economy and I am being generous to Emirates. on both ways, no internet. on the way back I paid for the internet and got 5 minutes of service. on both ways electrical system did not work. I believe these. they DO NOT have flat beds. don't let them tell you otherwise. hard to sleep. they are inclined. horrible almost flat beds, but not quite. I rang the bell and asked them to reset a frozen screen. he said he would and vanished. then I asked again after an hour. after another hour, it worked. but then I could turn off the lights. they the steward switched it off. then I could not turn on anything including the seat adjustment. he came and switched it on again. I made it into a bed for sleeping. then he turned it off. when I woke up I rang the bell. he came and switched it on. horrid experience. no fault of the service personnel. they are pretty good. the planes are just bad.

Emirates Destroyed My Bag – Then Ignored Me
Nairobi - CanberraInternational
I have been a loyal Emirates customer for nearly a decade, even holding Gold status, but this experience has completely shattered my trust. My bag was blatantly tampered with - not only was the lock completely missing (with a clear evidence that it was cut!), but the entire zip was ripped off, leaving the bag completely destroyed. Yet, when I reached out for assistance, Emirates repeatedly sent me the same generic response without taking any real action. To make matters worse, one of their agents accidentally left the word "resend" in the reply (see photo attached!), exposing that they were literally just copying and pasting responses instead of addressing my concerns. On this trip alone, I spent over $3,000, yet they couldn’t be bothered to offer even the bare minimum of customer service for a simple baggage issue. This is not the standard I (or anyone) expected from a premium airline. Coincidentally, I know 3 other people who've recently experienced similar case/treatment. I’ll update this review if Emirates ever decides to resolve the issue. If there’s no update, assume this is exactly the kind of service you can expect from them.
