We already had a delay of 2 hours before we could start boarding. Once in the air I asked a flight attendent if I could ge something to drink. He told me to wait 15 minutes as they will start the service in a few minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting I walked to another co-worker and explained that I already asked for something to drink 45 minutes ago and her co-worker told me i will get something to drink in 15 minutes but now we are already 45 minutes later and still I did not receive anything. I asked if she please could give me something to drink. She told me she is to busy and she can not help me and I just have to wait. The other two members of our party did not get anything at all during their round. They had to refill their trolley when it was their turn but when they came back they started at the people behind them and upon our question they could get something to drink she told them no as they are busy with other passengers!!!! I travel a lot but have never exprienced such a rude and unreasonable service before. To me this is a reason not to travel with Air Canada in the future.

Flight was canceled just before boarding. Had to stay the night in a hotel that we paid for, next day we got on the plane back to Toronto. Tried to get reimbursed, no luck. Air Canada claims due to weather, we saw lots of planes landing and taking off. Poor excuse, this is so they don't have to reimburse people.

Horrible horrible - this self check out is absolute nonsense 1. Self check out - needed help as wasn’t as easy as expected 2. Go through, speck to a Customer service advisor who tells me where to go 3. Another check in point - Pay for extra luggage 4. Go to out bags in hold - man checks passport / boarding passes 5. Get to check in desk - another check or pastor / boarding passes 1hr it took, at 5.30am absolutely ridiculous system and a waste of time Staff at the self check - abrupt and rude though they went through the system. I don’t actually care whether your tired - you apply for the role / you take pride in your role - if you can’t find a job that requires no shift work - no face to face communication Everyone was confused Our flight number was Lufthansa yet we had to go via Air Canada WTH, this system of efficiency (not!!) is not valid nor beneficial to anyone Just makes Heathrow look so incompetent The flight was fine, left 5 minutes early no delays but check in really really really needs to be revisited and changed by someone who actually understand efficiency customer service and their own staff attitudes

The LAX Air Canada Lounge is closed for renovation, no meal served to Vancouver, Coming back the downgraded me to a middle seat in economy and wanted to give me a voucher. I don't want a voucher since I will never fly this airline again. I called customer service after they texted me and told me of the seat downgrade, very uncaring rude staff.

Where to even start with this DISASTER of an airline? THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER.ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE GRIEF THEY WILL GIVE YOU. The phone number on their website https://www.aircanada.com/us/en/aco/home/fly/customer-support.html#/ is for RESERVATIONS. So after THEY cancel on YOU, calling that number will a) make you wait ON HOLD FOR HOURS. If you are lucky enough to get someone after waiting on hold for 2-3 HOURS, you will get a nasty, surly subhuman being who will tell you it’s NOT THEIR JOB TO HELP YOU, they are only reservations. So Air Canada screws you and then makes sure you can’t talk to them to get help or even information! After reaching reservations and their refusal to take responsibility for their actions, they will tell you to EMAIL them! That there is an EMAIL for contacting customer service! We all know those emails go into the ether of incompetence. You will never receive a response. Further, they make that email address very hard to find on their website, and they know it. What a DELIBERATE setup for IGNORING THEIR CUSTOMERS and DEFLECTION! At all points of my THREE CANCELLATIONS from this airline, except for the very last cancellation, all the “Air Canada” employees that you see at the Air Canada gates will tell you to call the “Customer Service” number. You know, the one that doesn’t exist!! LIARS! In fact, the employees at the gate, at check-in, told me they are not even Air Canada employees! They are contracted out, they can’t/won’t do anything. So the fact that they delayed on you multiple times, then cancelled on you multiple times, THEY DON’T CARE! YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR PASSENGER RIGHTS. On the 3rd cancellation coming back from Amsterdam, (we are in Montreal at this point), I have to nearly tackle a “MANAGER” in the hallway. All other Air Canada employees only want to pass the buck; they know passengers have been screwed over. So to even get information as to what to do after the mess Air Canada has created for me. She does everything in her power to avoid me. And SHE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP! All other staff blows me off stating it’s not their job! Finally, after waiting another hour in queue in Reservations(?) —this part is actually AC staff — and they are doing everything to IGNORE ME AS A CUSTOMER, I have to FIGHT to get a hotel room, the one I am ENTITLED TO UNDER EUROPEAN LAW. Fortunately, another staff member reminds her of my RIGHTS. So I am stuck in Montreal for yet another night of my precious vacation time. To repeat, NO ONE AT AIR CANADA CARES ABOUT YOU OR HOW THEY SCREWED YOU OVER. Even getting information on how to get to the hotel they set up for me was A FIGHT! Over the course of of this 4-day DISASTER, I spoke to several AC passengers. They had also been cancelled on, and their situations were much worse. They did not get a hotel room after cancellation, they had been given the runaround for even longer! They were simply stranded. One woman and her daughter were stuck in Montreal after having their Venice trip ruined and were trying to get home to Texas. Another couple at the hotel had to pay their own way for a room after being cancelled on. And like me, they confirmed there was no way to reach a human being for the mess they created. My flight: Further, my flight was EXPENSIVE. My flight was NYC to (city in Europe) with a layover in Montreal. Round trip was $1400 for 3 cancellations, What did I get for $1400? RUDE, EVASIVE STAFF, BEING IGNORED AND LIED TO!!! Oh, and did I mention? Numerous delays and 3 cancellations! NYC to city in Europe: DELAYED and then CANCELLED. Then put on flight NYC to Chicago. Then put on flight Chicago to DC. Then put on United flight DC to city in Europe. CANCELLED number 2 due to mechanical issues.! Had to wait in huge line to wait for hours to talk to United staff. Poor communications had us all running around airport to find hotel shuttle. Got all of 3 hours in hotel to get flight to Amsterdam. You can imagine how tired and frustrated we all were. CANCELLATION NO. 3: Just when you thought they couldn’t f up any more, they do!! Montreal to NYC is cancelled on the return! I have to yell and scream at the agent to get her attention. I have to FIGHT to get my entitled hotel room, as per European regulations! I have to tell her to do her job by informing me of where to go to get to the hotel they have assigned me to! There should be a class action lawsuit against this airline! You do NOT ignore your customers and set up a system whereby they cannot reach you for the chaos YOU have created! Air Canada: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.
