My experience was beyond appalling. The fact the Pacific Postal stands by their process of how I was treated shows their lack of ethics and decency. I was supposed to fly to Victoria. Instead I was abandoned in Vancouver. At first I was told to wait to find out alternative routes home, which I did. I was told to wait 3 hours for an alternative flight which I did. I was then told that the boarding pass they printed for me to get home was a mistake. I then spent another 3 hours speaking with Pacific coastal staff who eventually told me I had no way of getting home. The only option was to miss work that day, and the next day, pay for my own hotel and accomodation which I did not have money for.. and fly out the following day. I did not have the option financially to miss another day of work as a result of this, and cover costs for accommodation. I also had responsibilities I needed to tend to and other beings counting on me. I had no choice but to taxi to the ferry, catch the ferry, and taxi home, which cost hundreds of additional dollars. Pacific coast refused to reimburse any costs or time. They had no regard for my time or money, or the ridiculous experience they put me and other passengers through. I will never fly with them again and I do not recommend. There is no bathroom to pee on the plane and I found it scary that I could see the pilots in the past struggling with the plane manual and not knowing what flashing lights meant..

I'll try not to bog the review down with long winded stories, in a nutshell here were my concerns about today's flight.. Safety: - Old planes with a large amount of cosmetic chipping (possibly indicating low maintenance priority by airline) - Our plane had some loose panels with worn screws - Loading ramp had a support cable with broken outer sleeve, which was covered over with electrical tape. (possibly indicating airline isn't willing to spend money on simple non-critical repairs.) - Extremely loud propeller plane, on par with power tool during ascent. (Possible hearing damage over repeated/extended flights, yes it was really that loud near the wing, my ears are still ringing a bit) - Inconsistent gaps around emergency exits, the one on the opposite side of the plane had a close-fit with the frame, the one near me had about a 6mm gap near the top. Just looked like a sloppy repair. Service: - Airline overloaded our return flight by 300lbs, then demanded someone volunteer to stay behind and catch the next-day-flight. Exact words were "The plane is 300 lbs over the weight limit.. ..we need someone to volunteer..". Then they said someone would be chosen at random if no one stepped forward. - Flight was delayed by about half an hour as they sorted out the above point. Comfort: - No toilets - Small cramped plane - Extremely loud propeller engines. - Very dry and very cold air circulation system. Any one or two of these things could have been an anomaly, but all of them together made for a disconcerting flight

Beijing - Boston

Bought Cathy Pacific ticket on its offcial site from Beijing to Boston for April 20th flight. The 1st leg was from AirChina that was delayed for 2+ hrs and missed connection at HongKong for Boston. Cathy Hong Kong agents were not responsible at all and I was shuffled back and forth with different agents and nothing was offered -- no food, no hotel room etc. After being left at airport for 5 hrs without any help. Booked my own hotel and reported it to Cathy agent by phone once backed in US. The Cathy agent asked me to work with AirChina, but it was a Cathy ticket. The contract was with Cathy, not AirChina.

Excellent small Airline where the staff are fantastic. My elderly mother in law (blind) needed to travel from Victoria to the interior of bc. They were so helpful and accommodating. Fantastic service!

My wife was chaperoning a bunch of kids for a youth program and the day they were supposed to fly home the lady at the baggage literally rolled her eyes at them and told them they couldn’t get on because they were four minutes late. This was 40 minutes before the plane was scheduled for take off. Worse yet, my wife’s cab driver told her that he had dropped someone off at the airport who was 20 minutes late and they were still allowed on. I don’t care if you people don’t like natives, those were still just children trying to get home to their families. That kind of self righteousness is appalling.
