What is the difference between Forums and a review? |
|
A review is a traveler's individual evaluation (including a 1-5 rating) of a specific property, business or destination listed on TripAdvisor. Each traveler may write one review of a subject; there is no interaction with other travelers. The Forums, on the other hand, are discussion boards in which travelers can ask (and answer) as many travel-related questions as they like, share their personal travel experiences and get travel advice from fellow travelers.

Are you going to sell my name to anyone? |

No. We hate spam, and we're not going to sell your name so someone else can clog up your e-mail box.

Do I need to register? |
|
To browse the postings, registration is not required. To post a new topic or reply, you must register with TripAdvisor™.

Why can't I sign in? |

To sign in to Forums you must use the e-mail address and password that you entered when registering for TripAdvisor. If you have not yet registered then you must first do so in order to sign in. If you have registered and
still are unable to sign in, then first check that you have all cookies

Go to the TripAdvisor forums page and select a forum to view. When you've found a forum to which you'd like to contribute, click the New topic button to ask a new question. If you want to participate in a topic that has already started, click the topic title, then click the Post reply button.

Travelers cannot delete posts. If you believe a post contains objectionable content, use the Report inappropriate post link within the post. Posts are removed solely at Forums administrators' discretion.

Can I use HTML? |

We're sorry, but members cannot include HTML in their posts. However, URLs in forums posts will automatically be hyperlinked.

Closed topics are topics in which no new replies will be posted. Topics are closed by Forums administrators if they are off-topic or otherwise problematic.

Who are the administrators? |

Forums administrators are members of the TripAdvisor support team. They will do their best to resolve any problems you have with using Forums.

What are sticky topics? |
|
Sticky topics are especially helpful topics that Forums administrators have decided to keep at the top of a topic list. Otherwise, most recent topics appear at the top of a topic list.

Will I be notified if you change or remove a message of mine? |
|
We reserve the right to remove any post, topic or forum on TripAdvisor for any reason, and you will not be notified if your message is removed or modified.

If I have an objection to a post, will you remove it? |

Forums is an open, unmoderated forum for discussion. All posts on Forums are entirely the responsibility of the travelers who posted them. If you find a problem with a post, feel free to report it using the Report this post to an administrator link. We will check into it, but changes to TripAdvisor are made solely at the discretion of the Forums administrators, and you will not be notified of our decisions.
