My first trip was made in 1990. Like most poor students in Hong Kong, we headed to mainland China. From the ancient capital Xi'an we started to trace back the heritage of the Silk Road. After spending many days on railway across the vast western region, we have all grown weary of it. On the return trip we splurged for an air ticket. That was my first experience on an airplane. This journey also marked the date when I begin to live independently.

Since then I have travelled to many places whenever I have opportunities, sometimes with a group and sometimes solo. In 1996 I have taken 3 months to travel from Singapore to Hong Kong overland. It was the longest and most meaningful trip I have taken. In mid 90s I have visited San Francisco. I love it so much that I ended up living there today.

I am making considerably less trip these days because of my young child. When he grow older I am looking forward to take everyone on a round the world tour.
