Not having a gap year (busy getting married ,paying off mortgage and having kids) have now taken early retirement and making up for it !!
Quite happy to sit in the back whilst flying in Europe but intend to spend the children`s inheritance by always turning left at the airbridge when boarding for long haul.
We have been visiting Tossa de Mar since 1982 and we have grown up with the resort but it is still unspolt and a big holiday destination for Spanish tourists-so unlike many sun & sea destinations.
Our favourite long haul destinations are in the Middle East, the Sub Continent and the Far East and over the past few years we have become active in supporting schools in Burma (Myanmar), more recently "Mamma Sue's" school in Linthar,Ngapali Beach

We first visited Myanmar in 1995 drawn by the genealogy interest of Mrs SS who's father was in the REME in Slims Army in the successful Arakan campaign in 1945 and we have returned there every year, sometimes twice.
