I'm half of a late 30/ early 40's couple who enjoys wine, vintage/antiques, local culture, art and galleries (especially photography exhibits), interesting food (vegetarian/Mexican/seafood is a plus), independent coffee shops, independent art films, and seeing the city on foot.

We enjoy both urban travel and quiet cabins with no TV, and although we try to travel on a budget our splurges are lodging and dining. You are unlikely to find us on a paid, organized tour but you may find us with an expensive bar tab at a small hole in the wall wine bar.

I generally spend a lot of time planning our trips on this site but don't we travel with a firm schedule or itinerary. Instead, we plan a few things to do and spend the rest of the trip spontaneously.
