Fantastic hotel to stay in the Brooklyn area local shops restaraunts and Cafe's nearby, Staff very helpful and welcoming, service and comfort Excellent, NY transit station and bus services close by and a short ride on the transit takes you in to the heart of Manhatton for your sightseeing tours. Or if yopu just want to kick back and relax this is the place to visit New York as the hotel is located in a quiet area with little or no traffic noise, the locals are friendly and welcoming and there is a lot to see in Brooklyn itself the Botanical Gardens and Coney Island but a short hop on the train. having stayed in both Manhatton and Brooklyn for a visit to New York I know where I will stay on future visits, the Best Western Gregory every time staff are always on hand and extremely curtious and helpful. « less

I stayed here in August of 2005. I don't remember it very well I was in town for a wedding and didn't spend a tremendous amount of time in the room but I remember a smooth stay with no problems. I must say that the neighborhood the hotel is in is extremely pleasant, and if you're willing to walk 20 blocks or so there's a beautiful park right next to the bay and the people in Bay Ridge are very friendly! The complimentary breakfast was very nice and my room was extremely spacious. Not the absolute cheapest out there and the lack of free parking is not ideal, but a very very nice place overall. « less

I am originally from Brooklyn, so I would not pay $200 per night to be in Manhattan when I can be in beautiful BayRidge for $109. The room is only slightly bigger than a Midtown room, however (as opposed to big rooms in New Jersey if u can use a car) for this price and I did see/kill a SilverFish bug, but otherwise it was fine. The area is perfectly safe and convenient to subway, but be aware: if you leave Midtown after 11:15pm, the R is a shuttle (after Midnight) and will make your trip back a full hour. This is fine if you are not staying too late, but it is annoying at the end of a long day. Other than that, this hotel is well worth it and does save money as well as provide a very nice breakfast. « less

The hotel was fine pace to stay, a typical value hotel, relatively clean and quite. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room clean and quite, the location within walking distance of many shops. Easy drive to Coney Island.
I would recommend staying here if you are in town for any reason and not in need of the best.

A comfortable room on the whole, and it was good that breakfast was included. Front desk staff were friendly, which is more than can be said for the chambermaid during my 12-day stay! The hotel is well positioned for inexpensive, good quality food outlets, especially on nearby Fifth Avenue (Brooklyn, not Manhattan!), and it's easy to get to anywhere in New York City from a nearby subway station (86th St., 4th Avenue, Brooklyn). However, although my company left Visacard details with the hotel management in order to pay for my accommodation, the amount (nearly $1200) was wrongly taken from my Mastercard. This was acknowledged as an error on my printed bill, but was it repaid? No, I have had to telephone the hotel several times to get any response, and was eventually told that their accountant is only there from 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. This is very poor, even assuming I get my money back; their error should have been put right at once without any prompting from me! It's an ongoing saga as I write. « less
