Stayed here on the weekend after Thanksgiving. Great location just off Times Square and the Theatre district. Just across the street is one of the best restaurants in Manhattan. It's an easy walk to Rockefeller Center, Central Park and Lincoln Center. On the next block are two great NYC deli's, Lindy's and The Stage Diner for a quintessential New York breakfast or lunch. The other reviews have pretty much summed up this real "find" in New York City. The room and bed was very comfortable and well appointed with crown molding, wave radio, etc. We were able to get a very low rate on expedia for this hotel. Hundreds of dollars less than on other occasions when traveling to the City. The service is on par with the finest NYC hotels. The doorman and bellmen were always there to help, James the concierge, gladly made an excellent recommendation for a romantic birthday dinner and someone was always going out of their way to help. Enjoy this hotel. « less

I stayed at the Michelangelo this past Sat. night (11/28). This hotel is very inviting, the service was timely, the atmosphere warm and elegant. Our room was extremely comfortable, clean and very quiet! The bed/pillows/linens were exceptional. The bathroom suite was fantastic. Everyone who assisted us from the doorman to the concierge was very helpful, friendly and pleasant. The morning coffees are very good, along w/ croissant/scones. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Very convenient location. « less

My daughter (23 yrs old) and I went to NYC for the Thanksgiving holiday and chose the Michelangelo Hotel on recommendation of friends. We loved our five day stay at this lovely hotel. It is beautiful, very nice rooms, great location and an entire staff that creates an atmosphere of comfort, safety and luxury. The conceirge, James, is a treasure. He took care of all of our reservations and gave us some great "inside" NY tips. The hotel took care of having an area for their guests to watch the Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving---we were soooo grateful for that, as that is the event we had gone to NY to see. Thanks Jefferey!! The doormen were always helpful with our cabs and directions. The luggage porter was great upon our arrival and departure. We really could walk to Rockefellar Center, Broadway, Times Square, NBC studio, Radio City, Central Park and shopping. The Michelangelo made our NY trip very special. « less

Beautitful room. Wonderful, accomodating staff. Stayed for one week with my husband while he was in NYC for a business trip. Had my one year old with me. We had a great time. Only complaints were no in-room coffee service. They have a complimentary coffee service in the lobby, but I didn't like having to get dressed and look decent to go down and get a cup of coffee. Also, the air conditioning system was a bit weird and it has hard to regulate the temperature in the room. Otherwise, the stay was great, room was very comfortable and the location can't be beat. « less

The Suites at Michelangelo are the most roomy and spacious of any hotel I've stayed in for the price. I've tried other hotels in New York, from the Plaza to the CityClub and I keep going BACK to Michelangelo.
The hotel has several styles of decor, and you can choose which suits your mood. The room service and concierge staff are 5 star in customer service. For a small, luxury, boutique hotel Michelangelo has all the feel of a grand palace in a small space. The location is GREAT. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walking distance to Broadway, 5th Avenue shops, Rockefellar Center, and The Diamond District. « less
