The Cosmopolitan Hotel has been my home away from home for over ten years during which I have had the pleasure of being a guest nearly every week for perhaps three nights on average. During that time I have told many people that unless they are looking for a luxury hotel, the Cosmo is the place to stay. You will not find a cleaner or better maintained place. All facilities and furniture are spotless and in excellent condition (not just the lobby like many other places). Because the Cosmo is a small hotel, during my time there I have had the pleasure of meeting and coming to know just about everyone who works there - the manager, office staff, front desk staff, housekeeping staff and maintenance staff. All are very good at what they do but more importantly all are polite, friendly, helpful and trustworthy. And you get all of this at a remarkably affordable price. « less

As a former New Yorker, I love to go back to my old haunts, but the prices are so high! A friend and I wanted to show her son and daughter New York for the first time, and I remembered this hotel in the heart of Tribeca. Nothing fancy, but perfectly fine and comfortable in the heart of a great neighborhood. You don't want or need hotel amenities like restaurants in New York City, when the ones outside the hotels are so much better! The four of us shared one room with two queen beds and a sofabed that was quite comfortable for the little time we spent in it. What made the bathroom arrangement work was the addition of a second sink outside of the bathroom where one could brush your teeth, etc., along with room for the many toiletries of four people. « less

I stayed at the Cosmo for 3 nights with 3 of my girlfriends! We absolutely loved it! Mind you. There was 4 of us, and the room is very tiny! We had a two bedroom and there isnt room for much else! 4 girls in New York and their luggage...you can imagine how tight it was! But it doesnt matter, your in New York City, in a great location. Really great breakfast place nearby, and the best part? The subway is literally steps from the front door! You can get to anywhere super fast! We all felt really safe there, and the staff was nice, and didnt bother us at all, even though we were loud some nights! :) The only thing we didnt like about this hotel was the water pressure from the shower. It felt like you were being beaten haha but other than that, there are zero complaints! :) « less

This is the hotel my boyfriend and I tell our family and friends to stay at when they're visiting. It's close to everything and very clean and modern for the price. Best deal by far compared to all other hotels in the area (East Village, West Village, Lower East side etc.) « less
