I'm writing this from my room..I've stayed here before and loved it,,but I will be out of here tomorrow . I've only been here 4 hours and I am sitting in a sauna, the front desk has said the guy works tomorrow ..who does maintenance .. The lobby is freezing,,this room is on fire,,my friends room is even more hot than mine.. As I've said before about the good and the bad but they will not Change our rooms,,and the bell hop said all rooms have the same problem about aircon..I will see tomorrow the hotel manager and if the air cons the same in the next room we are leaving..problem is I've booked with agoda so no chance of them helping..dealt with them before so could be moving to a new hotel and taking the loss on the chin..sorry but in this weather aircon means everything here...one thing..the person before me commented on this place being a brothel....I have never seen anything like that here and I've stayed a few times..there is a massage parlour connected to the hotel but that in itself does not make the hotel a brothel..

The hotel is what you expect in a developing country. The rooms are comfortable and clean, although it is older. The towels looks worn and the daily maid service is not consistent. The staff in the front desk and in the breakfast room are very friendly and kind. They do try their best to take care of you and seem very happy to work there. The location is good for our purpose, but probably not for those typical tourist spots.

From the moment I walked in to this brothel, I wanted to leave but had no other option as it was 830pm. Reception staff rude, room filthy. Thanks for the door bell ring at 1030pm asking us about massage. Wrong Room!! Phnom Penh has been an absolute rip off so far. More expensive then the GOLD COAST in Australia. That’s why I love travelling to Asia, but here is way too over priced.

Well....it's far out from the city..in a working type area it seems The first time I did not have a view which irked me and no water hose beside the toilet.. Tv was a bit fuzzy also
My next visit I will tell about in more detail.. I was promised a twin room like last time but same as last time none was available so this time the lady on the desk upgraded me and as she said if I come back again I will get a room high up..I did I was on the 7 floor. The bed was soft, the pillows were ok and my tv did not have a fuzzy look like before.. I also had a bath this time and I loved it. The worst thing about the hotel is the breakfast,it's awful, poor, and if not early not much gets replenished..also the strangest thing Is there is no orange juice ,was the first time but not now..it is the 1 main thing that lets this hotel down... Now the really good stuff,,the gym is the best I have seen in any 3 or 4 star hotel in Asia,,it's great has everything you could possibly want..a side note,,no aircon and 2 tiny fans just do not cool the place,,also I seen 2 guys there..1 cleans the place and trains a bit..the other just seems to brush his hair and try to look good hehehe,,,humor...no it's great. The pool is good as well and great for actually swimming but can get busy at night and at weekends, there is also sauna and hot tubs available..if you want to visit it will cost you $5 if not a hotel guest.. There is also a massage part at the side of the hotel,my friend used it and said it was ok,tends to be a lot of Chinese guests smoking outside it... The staff are really nice and make you welcome and room cleaning is done well.. It is far out I know but it's a choice you make if you want to exercise well or just tour sites..a tuk into the city was $5 each way.. Lots of business people I seen and the obligatory orphanage volunteers...a clean well run place.. If more than 1 person I would try this place..cut down on the transport costs.. And ask for a high floor.. I will go back here...maybe rent a bike hehehe

This hotel has beautiful amenities (very clean and nice-looking rooms, beautiful pool/gym/sauna area, and close to restaurants and shops at TK avenue), but in my two-day stay there, I had multiple negative experiences.
Granted, I arrived during the Khmer New Year so they were low-staffed and seemingly unprepared to receive hotel guests, considering this is the biggest holiday of the year, so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that their customer service may not always be this poor during other times of the year (i.e. your experience of this hotel might be completely different than mine! I sure hope it will be!).
Upon check-in, I wanted to confirm that my booking through Agoda included free breakfast. The front desk staff person responded by saying "Our restaurant is closed for three days because of the holiday". She also communicated that the pool, gym and sauna were closed as well because of the holiday and staff having the time off. She did not offer me a discount nor an apology, and when I kindly recommended that this type of information should be communicated to hotel guests beforehand, she still did not acknowledge the problem but just stated the same reason about the holiday, as if all was fine (a culturally appropriate response, but poor customer service nonetheless). This really set a poor first impression for me.
Luckily, they did end up at least opening up the pool for guests to use. The reason why I booked this hotel was because they had great amenities and free breakfast. Had I known that almost everything would be closed and free breakfast not available, I likely would have have booked a different hotel instead.
Also on my first day, my AC in my room did not get cold at all. I ended up switching rooms, and my AC was better, but not great. It took hours for the room to cool down and even though I had the temp on 16 degrees, it was barely cold enough to feel comfortable sleeping in the heat of April. Maybe AC in other rooms was great, and my room was an exception (I hope that's the case). After all that had already gone on with the front desk up to this point, I decided not to raise this issue.
I also had multiple issues with my room card key, and the staff's response was always to walk me up to my room and open or lock my door with their master key, and wait until later to reset my key. Why would I want to "wait until later" to lock my room? I had to insist to have it taken care of immediately, as that didn't occur to the front desk staff as something urgent.
If it was just one issue I experienced, at this hotel, I would give them the benefit of the doubt because things happen and I understand that. But because I had multiple negative experiences, and the staff didn't always take full responsibility for the issues, I probably will not stay in this hotel again (which is a shame since they typically offer great amenities!).
