I am a huge fan of Harrahs mainly because of their customer service. The Sheraton fell way short of my expectations. Our recent stay was for my hubby's birthday (October 17 thru 20). We picked the Sheraton because of the convenience of being able to walk to two other casinos.

The rooms are very nice and the bed is super comfortable. The bathroom is huge with double sinks, marble counters lots of pretty glass and mirrors. Super shower with high pressure and would be great for tall people.

To begin our stay when we pulled up to the hotel valet after a 6 hour drive ready to get out of our car we waited and waited and a valet never came out. We had to go inside, find a security guard and they had to radio a valet person to finally come out and get our vehicle. No offer to help with the luggage just asked our name and gave us our ticket.
Took about 15 to 20 minutes. Everytime we went to drop off our car or pick it up we had to find someone to go get the valet. No matter what time it was.

Check in went well enough. Took about 5 minutes. She remarked someone has a birthday when she took hubby's ID. But couldn't bring herself to wish him a happy birthday. Oh well it was late and I guess everyone was tired.

On to the room like I mentioned previously it was nice. There were some stains on the carpet and the furniture could have used a light dusting and the refrigerator was leaking so the carpet was wet in front of it. Overall not bad.

The gambling here was terrible. We didn't hit anything.

We asked for directions one time from a security guard to a restaurant outside of Tunica and he looked at us like we had two heads.

We went to the Horseshoe (next door) the next day and recieved the customer service we are used to from Harrahs properties. Very friendly staff , great cocktail service and when we asked directions from the girls at Starbucks they bent over backwards to help us find what we were looking for.

On Monday night we got in to our room a little late and it had not been cleaned. I tried to call housekeeping and never got an answer. If nothing else I would have liked to have some clean towels. We always pile the towels up to make it easier for housekeeping so I ended up having to hang all our towels up so they would be dry the next morning. When they did clean our rooms they never emptied the ashtrays or cleaned the coffee pot. Also food trays from room service that were out in the hall at night were usually still there when we left each morning at around 10:00AM.

I wouldn't stay again because of the customer service alone. I don't expect them to bend over backwards to accomodate us just be friendly and to the jobs they were hired to do. « less

“sheraton casino”

I love the room at the sheraton To me its the best in tunica. But the casino needs a lot of up dating. new carpet would be a big help.
