We were in Vegas Dec 5-12. We stayed all 7 nights @ Caesars. Had booked a regular Augustus Tower room. When we checked in I asked if there were any upgrades and since the rodeo was going on she said the only thing I could get upgraded to was a higher floor/better view. After about 5 minutes of checking she said she would just give us the upgrade for free and the room would be ready in an hour. Came back an hour later and had keys to a 35th floor room w/view of the strip and Bellagio fountains.
Room itself was awesome. Big and spacious, the bathroom was huge with separate shower and jetted tub, marble everything, his and hers sinks and toilet its in own little room. Nice big king sized bed, the pillows kind of sucked (feather pillows) but it was still super comfy.
Room was cleaned everyday without a hitch, the whole hotel was pretty much spotless from what we could tell.
The room also came with robes which got a lot of use from us. We ordered room service once, it arrived on time and piping hot. I used QUA one day while we were there and it was worth every dime. I even went back later that night just to sit in the roman baths again.
The pool area is big and clean. We went out there one night after it had closed just to check it out and it was great. The pools were heated but we didn't go in.
We were offered line passes/VIP passes to PURE more than once by club promoters in the casino but we declined, even though the club wasn't that busy and there was no line, we just didn't go.
Food options on the property are great, they're all just expensive. We dined elsewhere for the most part. We only ate at Serendipity 3 and the food court on site. Both were good.

The Augustus Tower did have the fastest elevator service anywhere. We never waited more than a minute for an elevator.

Caesars was actually the 2nd choice for our vacation. Original choice was Venetian. We went to a friends room at the Venetian while we were out there and it was nice, but the furniture in it was beat up bad. You can tell it had wear and tear everywhere, even the bronze color on the bathroom fixtures was rubbed off. Caesars had no wear and tear on anything. Everything in the room looked brand new. Even the couch and tables.

Only downsides I had at Caesars was the TV. It came with 18 channels and 4 of them were in Chinese, 2 were in Spanish, and 5 were all news. So that left you with a whopping 7 channels to pick from if you wanted to relax for a little bit and watch TV. « less

We did not have any particular expectations about Caesars but based on a family's recommendation and memory from a Las Vegas trip 10 years ago, we did not anticipate such a spotty service. Then again, in hindsight, it made sense as this hotel seems to have grown beyond its capacity and without much thought about quality maintenance. We arrived at the hotel at 11 pm after a long flight and lined up at the check-in for 20 minutes to be then told that they had given away the non-smoking Augustus room that we had booked months in advance, and that they only available room they had was a smoking room in the Forum Tower. We were offered an apology and an upgrade to a junior suite in the Palace Tower and a free mini fridge rental for compensation. To the hotel's credit, all the staff at the registration were friendly and helpful - even though one managed to authorize and get a denial when he accidentally re-authorized the card, asking us for another credit card to authorize in the end (we didn't find out until days later that that was what happened). We ate a late dinner at the 24-hour place (not worth the price - Caesar restaurants were on average $3-5 more expensive than other places; a hot chocolate and croissant was easily over $10, and a normal breakfast was over $40). Our smoking room at the Forum Tower was ok save for the broken TV in the bathroom mirror. The next morning we inquired about our new room and were told that we had to check out of the current room by 10 am and check our luggage with the bell desk until we could get the key cards to our new room between 1-3 pm. Because we already had tickets for a show from 1 - 5, we decided to go to the desk before 12 pm and ask for a room, and we were lucky enough that another junior suite had been cleaned at that time. When we went to ask for our luggage to be sent up from the bell desk, we were told to go to the outside one (valet / luggage) to retrieve it - and there we were told that we had to wait for them to be retrieved from the basement... all this despite the fact that we told them that we were not checking in / out. Finally, at my partner's insistance, the bell service agreed to send someone up with our luggage (a very friendly and helpful hotel clerk).

Our hotel staff the night before had recommended that we take the Junior Suite at the Palace Tower over the Deluxe Room at the Augustus Tower - so we went with his recommendations but I cannot help but wonder if we would have enjoyed the smaller but newer room better - The Palace Tower room was spacious and nice, but at closer look you could tell that it was worn - the corners of the door frames were frayed and discolored; one of the faucets (we had two bathrooms) was loose and made it hard to shut the water off; and it took forever to get hot water in the shower.

Overall, our stay was just ok - most of the staff that we interacted with were helpful and friendly (especially the registration staff, the cleaning staff and the bell person who brought our luggage up), but a couple of them were just plain rude. Given all the other choices on the strip, we will be definitely not returning. « less
