... ll be staying in Lewes at a beach rental starting on Saturday (ours is in the historic district though). Try Vacation Rentals by Owner, VRBO.com. It's what we used to find our rental. It is our second year renting it and everything has worked out fine. Good luck ... more

Realtors handle thousands of rentals in Lewes each year and there is an occasional problem. Seems contented customers take nice rentals and good service for granted and see no need to post. The ocassional unhappy person will sometimes make many nasty posts. Same can happen with VRBO. ... more

... My grandson has severe asthma and of couse he developed symptoms and needed treatment during our stay because the house was so dusty. They were unwilling to compensate us for the poor service. Needless to say this will be our last rental from them. Hope everyone else has better luck ... more

... had a problem, but the rental agent is not always responsible for cleaning the units...this is normally set up by the owner (or through the agent at the owner's expense). Quite possibly, the cleaning staff were contracted but never showed up, & other than not checking the place before ... more

I know the rental agent does not clean the unit. But ultimately they are responsible for the satisfaction of the renter. We had 4 small children in our family and had to wait for over 24 hours for a phone call back from the agency. We couldn't even put ... more
