Chalet Anna is in a beautiful location with unobstructed views to the head of the valley. It is a recent build and of generally a high standard. The open plan living area is marred by an eccentric and very steep ladder to the mezzanine which obstructs circulation. The seating area is comfortable and was fine for the five of us but would not be adequate for the 8 adults for whom the chalet is designed.
A lovely big kitchen has a plethora of china and cutlery - lots of big pans but no small frying pans and only one small pan - cooking pasta and risotto would be no problem but proper cooking was a challenge with no casseroles or baking tins, no scales or any electrical equipment -not even a hand blender to make soups. With English owners the lack of a coffee machine wasn't surprising but it would have been nice to have had a coffee grinder.
