    Rental Home –
    1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 3
The cottage is in the popular hilltop village of Apricale, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy and whose name comes from 'apricus', meaning 'open to the sun.' Apricale is situated in the foothills of the proposed UNESCO World Heritage site of the Ligurian Maritime Alps, 10 miles from the sea and is an ideal base for a spring or autumn walking holiday, with many miles of trails and with a mild climate. It is a nature lover's paradise, full of wildflowers in spring, with many species of butterfliies and birdlife. Also a great base for a summer beach holiday with easy access to the Italian and French Rivieras: Nice (40miles), Monaco and San Remo (25 miles) but cheaper than staying in those locations. see also http://holiday-homes-in-italy.blogspot.it/2012/11/acc... more

Very nice, peaceful place. The cottage is small and cosy and there is everything you need. We enjoyed the balcony a lot and were always having our meals there. The host is very friendly and gives good advices for hikes and restaurants etc. Apricale is beautiful and has a lively piazza where everybody meets in the evenings. Unfortunately there are... more

While we didn't have the opportunity to meet Robert, all arrangements were made ahead of time, and Robert provided us with a map and all necessary info. There was no waiting around to get a key, and we easily found the cottage. The room had recently been updated and remodeled but still had a rustic feel to it. It was...

This apartment really is tiny - would really only suggest for a couple - but everything you need is here. Management response:

Thanks for your comments. I prefer compact or cute to tiny but this is normal in houses in the historical centre of Apricale. I have had 3 adaptable friends and also couples with a child enjoy a prolonged stay in the cottage and they all had enough space. It would be possible to add another light downstairs for those grey... more
