Our apartment is just a 7 minute stroll down to the black sand beach of San Marcos with its reasonably priced bars and restaurants, or one short stop on the local hourly bus. This bus also runs to the picturesque old Canarian town of Icod de los Vinos, good shopping and very traditional. Icod also has several decent supermarkets. And of course it's home to the famous Dragon Tree.
From here there is an excellent network of buses to all parts of the Island... Puerto de la Cruz ( 35 mins) Santa Cruz, Los Gigantes and closer to home the attractive village of Garachicho, and its leafy squares or Buena Vista with it's superb golf course.
This area is scenic and unspoilt, and perfect for those who like walking, hiking,caving or just mixing with the locals and soaking up the atmosphere

There are regular flights to Tenerife South Airport and plenty of car hire available. We recommend Auto Reisen with basic car hire costing £80 and upwards for a week. Our apartment is approximately a 90 minutes drive away, either over the mountains or by motorway.
Taxi transfers can be arranged at a cost of 65 euros each way.
