My husband and I spent a week at Casa Flora on our honey moon in 2006 and it still remains one of my most enjoyable holidays. Although it was very difficult to find and our frantic hand gesturing and fractured Italian with the locals produced a resulting goose chase around the town- as they too had no idea of its location (or they enjoyed watching our rental car circle the town for the fifth time with marriage vows about to go out the window), it was well worth the bickering when we got there. The welcoming bottle of wine on arrival is a nice touch- and although the site managers are around they very much leave guests to their own devices. Casa flora is not an enormous appartment but very charming and lacks nothing a traveller would need. Rustic yet well equipped, a land of olive groves and movies starring Juliette Binoche, this is a perfect place to kick back and unwind and join a relaxed pace of life.
