The beautiful Little House is situated in the medieval quarter of Salignac-Eyvigues near Sarlat. Purposely designed for two people it makes for an ideal romantic retreat. 'Mod-cons' have been integrated with the old features of the building, allowing holiday makers to relax amongst modern comforts whilst enjoying the ancient atmosphere of the village and property.

There are many gentle activities such as golf, tennis and horseriding in the vicinity and many sightseeing opportunities for those wishing to see a little more of the area. Restaurants are everywhere in the area and food ranges from a 12 euro 3 course meal to Michelin Star quality cuisine. The area relies heavily on local produce including excellent foie gras. Needless to say, the wine is wonderful!

We stayed a week in this lovely cottage and were able to sit on the terrace with a stunning view of the castle. We had to tear ourselves away and we did some wonderful walking using Jeanette Norton's Cicerone Guigebook 'Walking in the Dordogne'. It was warm, sunny and there were wildflowers and cuckoos. Everything we wanted was provided at... more

Spent a week and really enjoyed the house, the village and the surrounding region. This is a beautiful part of the country with great local markets and restaurants. Friendly people and loads of history to get lost in. Canoes the Dordogne and found our way into little hidden villages everywhere. more

Finding the Little House (not so little!) down a tiny lane in a charming village was the hardest part of the trip, driving on the wrong side of the road aside! The house is well-provisioned, beautifully restored and in a stunning setting - overlooking the 12th century castle, only a short walk from a real French village with boulangerie, boucherie,... more
