5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

My wife and I stayed at Burradon Farm cottages for18 days in May 2014. We stayed at Jacobswell and Maltpool cottages and both were excellent..the location is idyllic with beautiful scenery, peaceful walks and you could not ask for more. Both cottages exceeded our expectations, Judy and Caroline were extremely helpful and made sure that we were welcome. Everything that we needed for a self catering accommodation was available and if we needed anything all we had to do was ask.The cottages are in the middle of a working farm and yet we were a short drive from shopping centers, the coastline of Northumberland ( 15 minutes), several Heritage sites and you could be in Newcastle or Gateshead with multiple choices of shopping and fine dining within 20 minutes.Everything was perfect and I highly recommend it for adults or families - the children who were there when we stayed were really excited about being on a farm with horses, cows, donkeys and farm life in general. more

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Thrilled with the location and overall 5* standard of the accommodations. Stayed in the 'Wheatlands Cottage' as it was advertised as being wheelchair/disabled friendly which it was. Overall facilities at the cottage were superb and the size of every space was simply perfect. Worried ahead of time about wheelchair accessibility to the patio, but this was a needless worry as it was designed to support full accessibility from the kitchen directly onto the patio. Enjoyed everything about the cottage, but in particular loved the views/sunsets we were able to enjoy from our own private patio. Owners and staff were equally attentive and we would 100% recommend it to friends and family and if visiting Northumberland again would consider staying no where else! more
