    Private Room –
    3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8
A nineteenth century complex consisting of trulli and lamie restored using ancient traditions of the master trulli builders.
A wonderful spot when you can rediscover fragrances and colours of bygone days and breath fresh air of the hills within a stone's throw of the Apulian sea.

    ABOUT THE AREA
Trulli La Macina is situated in Contrada Calongo at Cisternino in the heart of Murgia and overlooks the evocative Valle d'Itria. A picturesque landscape among farms, trulli and dry-stone walls, immersed in the countryside with its orchards and age-old olive trees, which create breathtaking contrasts and scenery. From its strategic position between Bari and Brindisi, you can easily reach fascinating places and routes among nature, history and culture.

    Alberobello
Alberobello is the best known village of the Valle d'Itria, a strange and picturesque destination which is becoming an important fixture on the travel itineraries of tour operators as well as independent travellers. The small town has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unusual districts of trulli, the characteristic white-washed conical-roofed houses of the area. It makes an interesting day-trip destination. In Alberobello, visit the trullo sovrano (sovereign trullo) at Piazza Sacramento in Alberobello. The 15m (50 ft.) structure, the only true two-story trullo, was built during the 16th century as headquarters for a religious confraternity and became later the private house of a rich family. The trullo sovrano is open daily from 10am to 1pm and 3 to 7pm

We stayed in nine different accommodations during our recent trip to Italy. Because the following experiences were fairly consistent from place to place, I offer them not as criticisms but as observations on cultural differences. We found that beds were VERY firm, showers small, that toiletries always included shower caps but never conditioner, that bedrooms and baths contained highly scented...

Fantastic accommodation set in serene garden. Had pool to ourselves most of the time and reading in the hammock each afternoon was bliss. more

This is a fabulous place - stylishly decorated with a wonderful large pool. Enzo the host was so hospitable and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The house was immaculately clean and we were greeted with local wine and freshly baked (delicious) cake. It's a short drive to Cisternino which is a great little town with fantastic restaurants and... more
