    Les Challonnières is a beautiful half-timbered cottage built in approximately 1750 and is situated in the National Park. It is set in half an acre of enclosed gardens with swings fo the children and there is an orchard with apple, pear and damson trees.

    About 2 miles away is the local village of Lonlay L'Abbaye with its famous biscuit factory, bakers, butchers, post office, mini supermarket, and 4 miles away is the medieval town of Domfront which has all the shops you could want including 2 supermarkets.

    - Changeover day for weekly bookings is a Saturday. Bookings starting/finishing on any other day will be charged at the nightly rate
    - Discount available on 'Brittany Ferries' fares, please ask for details.
    - Non-returnable deposit of 50% required to confirm booking.
    - Full balance is due 6 weeks before arrival.
    - Refundable breakages deposit of £200 required (with final balance payment) to be paid by a separate cheque which will be shredded following your departure (subject to a satisfactory property inspection and keys being returned).
    - Bedlinen plus towels and tea towels can be provided if required for £12 per person per week. Please bring your own beach towels.
    - Logs can be provided in the colder months for £28 per week (£30 in 2015)

Les Challonnieres will embrace you as it did us for four weeks, in winter. It is quiet, warm, evocative, and loved. The character is will share with you comes from its history and the warmth with which its owners have imbued it. We would love to stay there again! more

You rightly refer to its history with it dating back to 1750 and naturally with that comes all the character: the traditional beams and huge stone fireplace which are so typical of the area. What a lovely cottage! So well equipped . The weather was very wet, windy and cold and we soon got into the routine of firing up the log burner and settling in for cosy evenings.
