Please read my review to the end! I must be honest, when we arrived and I spotted the huge farm workshop a little to the left of the house, I was dismayed. When we stepped into the house I was also a bit disappointed as it wasn't quite what I expected, but by the morning, Les Cavales started growing on me.

The house has an eclectic mix of paintings, photo's and ornaments from all over the world. The owner definitely has a passion for clowns, particularly Francesco, as there are many paintings, ornaments of clowns dotted around the house. It also sports a white grand piano!

This place was truly remarkable. We walked through the door and could not stop smiling just being there. The colours and décor just make you feel so happy .... so full of colourful and unique features in every room. So many nice spots to sit outside, either on one of the upper decks, by the pool, or out in the sun on the grass. Just where you thought it couldn't get any more interesting, we were sitting on the deck outside and along comes a great Pyrenees sheepdog....a great big white dog, exactly the breed we had when we were first married. Totally confounded us, in a great way, until we realized he had come with his masters to move this massive herd of sheep. We watched from the deck at sunrise as this herd of sheep moved right past the gate onto a truck. It was surreal, and so interesting. Going on jogs, we ran through the cherry trees, then headed uphill and ran past small lavender fields. Too many really cool and unique things to describe them all. If you are interested... more
