    Casa La Portaccia is one of the the towns original houses built on the edge of the wall which give this house its unique and wonderful views over olive groves and the valley below. It also has a rare advantage of free parking outside but is within a 2' walk to the main piazza. The town itself has many restaurants, bars, shops and weekly food market. From here you are within easy reach of many nearby towns including Sansepolcro which houses the famous painting of Piero della Francesca, Arezzo which is famous for its monthly antiques market and Florence is an hours drive away.

The house was clean and comfortable and light. It also had character with shuttered windows and large uncluttered living areas and bedrooms. We travelled around Tuscany and found Anghiari and the surrounding area beautiful so we stayed in this area and found this property.
