Having holidayed in other parts of Italy before we were keen to discover a new area. Casa Mandorlina proved to be the perfect base for this. Location wise, we felt secluded enough to really relax, surrounded by olive and almond trees (the kids particularly enjoyed collecting figs from a nearby tree), yet were only a short drive to Ostuni - a gem of a city that really comes alive from 9pm. With beautiful architecture, great restaurants and a local market on Saturdays that's not to be missed.
We were also well placed to explore the rest of the sites of Puglia and managed to find a good balance between exploring the nearby towns (for us) and the lovely nearby beaches (for the kids!). The villa itself is bristling with character yet well renovated equipped with everything you could think of to make your stay enjoyable.
